A month later
I got out of the hospital a couple weeks ago. I've been practicing my speech for the past few weeks and I can now talk without my throat hurting as much. I've been talking a lot lately. We've been attacked 3 more times by my dads friends

"Ava!" Cason yells from the living room.

"She's in her room" Grayson tells him. I hear a knock on the door.

"Come in" I tell him and go back to reading Larry fanfic on Wattpad.

"Hey" he smiles and sits down next to me.

"Hey" I say back, not looking up from my phone.

"Is everything okay? You seem kind of distant lately" I look at him and put my phone down.

"I'm pregnant, Cason"

"Uhm, we've known this, Ava" he chuckles.

"That means I'm going to be a mother" I tell him, ignoring his comments "mothers do everything they can to make sure their babies are safe. And I don't feel my baby will be safe here"

"Are you thinking of leaving?" He asks, I look down "no, Ava. You can't leave. Please stay" he begs, placing one hand on my thigh. I flinch and he takes it back.

"I'm sorry. I really am" I say, getting up and grabbing a suitcase, shoving clothes and other shit into it.

"No. Ava, I can make this place more safe. Okay? I promise you" he begs, throwing the clothes I just put into my suitcase on the floor.

"We're being attacked every week. I can't stay here. Maybe I'll come back in a couple years, I don't really know, but until then..." I stop and look at him "don't come looking for me" I zip my suitcase and go to the living room.

"Where are you going?" Grayson asks

"I'm leaving" I tell him, my voice breaking "It isn't safe here. I'm going to have a kid" he gets up and walks to me.

"I understand, but we can protect you! I promise"

"If you really want to protect me, let me go..." I open the door. It's raining. Of fucking course it's raining. I turn away and start walking outside, in the pouring rain.

"Ava wait!" Cason yells

"What?" I snap

"Don't go" he begs. He's crying.

"I can't stay here, what if someone comes back and kills me?"

"That won't happen! We all love you and will not let anything happen to you"

"Cason, I was raped by two of your gang members and got pregnant.." I say, laughing slightly.

"That won't happen again"

"I know. But still" I turn away

"Don't go!" He pleads

"Give me one reason I shouldn't" I beg, crying. He stays quiet for a minute and I turn back around to walk to the bus station.

"I love you..." he says quiet but loud enough to were I can hear it. I stop.

"What?"

"I fucking love you, Ava. More than anything"

"You're lying" I tell him, still not turning around.

"I'm not"

"Prove it" I tell him, finally turning around. He walks up to me and kisses me. The best kiss ever, it only lasted a minute, but it felt like forever. I could live in this moment. "I love you too" I smile into the kiss.

Finally! Damn, 16 chapters in and they finally admit they're in love! I have been waiting for this chapter since I started the book! I can't believe it finally happened!!!!! I'm so exited.
