Eve stared at the plate infront of her, was that Meat? didn't look like it. Where was the blood? She looked up and saw every one was looking at her.
"Why are you all looking at me?" She said raising an eyebrow. Miss. Peregrine smiled happily
"Kids, I want you to meet our newest edition..." she said trailing off giving room so she'll say her name. They all look at her waiting but she doesn't take the hint and raises a brow.
Why are they pausing mid sentence?
"Her names Eve" Enoch grunted out. Emma and Miss. Peregrine looked at him shocked
"She told you her name?" Miss. Peregrine asked. He shrugged not caring.
"She talked to you?" Emma asked and he scoffed
"Its getting her to shut up that's amazing" he said taking a bite of food. Emma and Miss. Peregrine smiled happily at Eve
"Well that's wonderful Eve. Everyone this is Eve" she said and all the kids waved and smiled at her.
"Why in the world did you talk to him?" Emma asked not getting why Eve didn't talk to her first. Eve glared shifting uncomfortably in her seat
"Because he didn't smile at me creepy" she said looking at everyone smiling at her. Emma's eyes widened and her smile fell and Enochs mouth twitched.
"Enough, children let's eat" Eve watched as the kids dug in. She looked down at her plate. She'd never seen anything like it. There seemed to be some white mush on the side, next to little green circles. Then on her plate was a large piece of meat, however it was werid, it was golden brown instead of the pink she was use to. She looked next to her to see a girl with braids.
"What's wrong with this?" Eve asked and the girl looked at Eves plate confused
"What do you mean?" Eve poked the meat with her finger
"Its weird" Eve protested
"Its chicken" Eve look at it confused
"Wheres its feathers?" The girl looked at her before her eyes widened and a little laugh came out
"You eat chicken raw?" Eve raised an eyebrow
"I eat everything raw, right after I kill it" Eve said and the girl laughter made more kids look over
"Oh wow, that's crazy" Eve poked the chicken again
"No, this is crazy" a boy with a werid mask around his face across the table laughed
"Try it" she frowned but grabbed the meat. Digging her nails in and ripping off a chunk roughly. They watched as she tore into the meat like an animal and even heard the growling and monstrous noises she was making.
Before they knew it the girl had eaten the whole thing and was now chewing on the bone like a dog.
Eve noticing the attention looked up to see there eyes
"What?" They giggled and the girl with blond curls smiled happily
"Guys! Shes like me!" Eve looked her up and down
"I dont see a resemblance" she mumbled
Eve glared at Hugh, one of the kids she had met. The others all stood around looking at the two. He took a step back as the lion growled. Emma ran into the room ands jumped back. She looked between Hugh and Eve before sighing
"Hugh what did you do?" He looked at Emma I'm panic
"I don't know!"
"Well think"
"Well first said hi. Then I asked if I could hug her, and she asked what that was, so when I went to hug her she at did...that" he said and pointed at the large Lion. Emma sighed
"Hugh, she thought you were making a move to attck"
"I wasn't"
"Well tell her that!"
"She isn't listening"
"Lay down" she commanded
"What?" He said thinking she to be crazy.
"do it"
"Why would I?"
"Just do it!"
"Fine." He huffed before laying down on the ground. Emma looked over and saw the Lion stop growing and instead lay down and yawn. Emma let out a breath of relief
"You summited" she sighed and the other kids began to clap
