summary: this hot and sweaty day in mike's basement is driving y/n crazy ...

[12. "turn around.. i'm gonna braid your hair.."]

My limp limbs dangled over the edges of mike's couch with my hands rested on my belly as i stare up at the faded ceiling. Complete boredom setting in.

As always, the boys and I ended up back in Mike's stuffy little basement right after school. And, typically, each of us would still be full of energy and ready to make some dumb memories together but today was quite the opposite.

We each took it upon ourselves to find a spot to sprawl out on and huff in boredom for hours. Mine being the dusty little couch, Will's being the floor just in front of my dusty little couch, Dustin's being the rickety arm chair, while Lucas and Mike sat at the "designated D&D table".

Today is just too fucking hot to exist and I want nothing more than to get my wet sweaty hair off of my neck.

"ugh! this is driving me insane! we need more stupid girls in this stupid group so maybe one of them can stupid braid my stupid hair..." i all but whine, and Will seems to perk up at this complaint.

"turn around..." will says, but soon elaborates upon seeing the complete confusion on my face "i'm gonna braid your hair..." This only made the confusion grow to the other boys in the room.

"Since when could little Byers braid hair?" i ask, yet don't hesitate to comply and turn in my seat for him.

He dodged my question but I barely even noticed the second he got to work. After doing my own hair for so long, I forgot how amazing it feels to have someone else's fingers brush through it.

My eyes subconsciously begin to flutter shut but my peaceful daze is quickly cut short by a:
"So do you guys want us to leave? You're kinda having a moment here..."
