Katsuki stayed silent for a second "Fine...but don't expect me to do that crying shit you did..." He exhaled "A year ago, my father went on a business trip, and he cheated on my mom with someone else. My mom was in pain...she was hurting every day, and soon she snapped...she started drinking, and whenever I got home from school, she abused me... verbally and physically, then my friend found me trying to commit suicide after I couldn't take it anymore...I went to court and testified against my mother, but my father didn't take me in...he said he didn't have time to deal with a child, so I was sent to a foster home where I tried suicide and stabbed myself." Katsuki lifted his shirt to show a large gash scarred on his abs, Ochako looked at it...it was in the same place as her bullet wound scar. She touched Katsuki's scar lightly with her index and middle fingers "I'm so sorry Katsuki...that must have been so hard..." She hugged him
Katsuki growled and rolled his eyes at the overly- affectionate girl. "Yeah yeah... anyway, I'm naturally angry and annoyed with people, so when I scream and hit people it gains me another day here because I'm not "stable" which is just stupid...and... that's why I hate Deku...the green haired boy you're "buddy buddy" with..." Katsuki looked down "My dad cheated on my mom with Dekus mom...and he was traumatized after I bullied him for years, I was a real asshole. That's why he's here, he went insane after I pushed him past his limit."
Ochako listened to Katsuki the whole time and was shocked by what she heard, it's almost like her reason for being here wasn't nearly as serious as Katsuki and Dekus. She felt awful about it.
"Do you regret it...? Bullying Deku I mean..." Ochako asked out of nowhere. Katsuki looked at her suprised, no one had asked him that except for himself. He thought about it for a moment and silently nodded "Yeah...I ruined his life, I mean...he was here about a week or so before me...every hour at night he has to take medicine, and there's someone always watching him when he's sleeping so he doesn't try to run away...out of the 8 of us teens here he is the strategist, he's always making ways for us to try to run away but everyone cowers out..."
Ochako looks at him "Have you ever apologized to him about it?" Katsuki 'tched' "No... I've never even talked about this to anyone else, so don't you dare tell another soul."
Ochako smiled and held out her pinkie, her new bracelet making rattling noises as she lifted her arm up. Katsuki looked at her "What are you doing?" Ochako tilted her head "It's a pinkie promise, it means I promise not to tell another soul!" Katsuki held out his pinkie, not really knowing what else to do from there, Ochako hooked her pinkie on to his and Katsuki did the same.
For the first time in this awful hell hole, Katsuki felt something he hasn't in years.
Happiness.
