but if you are the water,
gently pulling me,
making me in a trance,
that's making it hard to see,
I think that you are ruining me,
you'll make me start to drown,
I can't get enough air to breathe,
I'm digging through the brown,
I've always been the metal,
sturdy and strong,
maybe not so elegant,
but hardly ever turned wrong,
and guess what you had done to me?
you covered me with that peace,
I drowned and when I finally got that air,
I rusted and it never ceased,
because you I've always seen you as a landscape,
the quiet and the calm,
in the shades of dark indigo,
resting in my palm,
I thought that I could handle you,
temper all your strength,
but metal can only stretch so far,
I couldn't take that length,
because water can't be handled,
its unruly and it's free,
I tried to keep on holding on,
I was just too blind to see,
see that you have ruined me,
with all your water against my shine,
and now I've lost trust in all the best things,
did I ever really call you mine?
