LAXATIVES + EXERCISE + TRYING

As most people know, laxatives are a good way to get your bowels moving. HOWEVER, do not use them except in emergencies, as your body will become dependent on them and not work as well without them.
Some good things to use that aren't laxatives are:
-Fiber supplements
-Miralax (yes, I know it has 'lax' in it, it's really not a laxative!)

As it said in the title—exercise. Whatever it is, it's good for you. Just hop on your treadmill/eliptical/whatever or go for a walk. You'll feel better and so will your poop. Sitting around reading this all day won't help you unless you do something!

Most people will tell you to go sit on the toilet for a while, and of course that's good! However, you're never going to poop in a bathroom with no lock, or in a public one where you can't sit around for three hours.
So don't feel embarrassed about bringing a book or your phone in with you, because the more comfortable you are, the easier it'll be to poop. (Although please wash your phone afterwords; those thingies have more germs than toilet seats!)

It's super important to squat on the toilet, or elevate your feet with a stool, as indicated in the picture below.
