Selina woke up strapped to an operating table. Her eyes were taped open. She struggled to teleport out of the cuffs, but the chloroform was still in her system.

"You can relax. It's all gonna be okay. Ain't nothing gonna happen here that you got to worry about, Selina. Your chances of coming out of this procedure alive? Very, very high," Doctor Benton explained as he stroked Selina's face. "Oh...I know. You think I'm some kind of monster, don't you? Well, I got to tell you, I have never done one thing that I did not have to do. This whole eternal-life thing is very high-maintenance. If something goes bad, like my eyes here...you got to replace them. And sometimes things get damaged, like when John cut out my heart. Now, that...That was very inconvenient. So, I'm sure that you can understand all the joy I felt when I read all about you here in his journal. You see, Selina...once I use you, I won't need to find anybody else...I'll just use you,"

Selina struggled to use her powers as Doctor Benton brought his scoop very close to her eye. She screamed when three shots rang out, shooting Doctor Benton from behind.

Doctor Benton turned and saw Sam "Shoot all you want," He approached and Sam let loose two more bullets. Doctor Benton threw Sam into the wall and he fell to the ground. Doc Benton approached again, leaning down. Sam plunged a knife into Doctor Benton's chest. "A knife?" He laughed "What part of immortality do you not understand? Pity about the heart, though. It was a brand-new one,"

"Good. It should be pumping nice and strong..." Sam held up a bottle of chloroform "Sending this stuff throughout your whole body. See, I picked up your little bottle upstairs and dipped the knife in it,"

Doctor Benton collapsed.

Selina screamed when she felt someone undo the straps holding her "Selina...hey, you're ok," Dean shushed her. When Sam undid the last strap, Selina latched onto Dean. "I've got you, sweetheart, I've got you." Dean glared over at Sam, who only looked guiltily at the ground.

Doctor Benton awoke strapped to the operating table. Dean, Sam, and I stood over him.

"Oh, hiya, Doc. Wakey, wakey, eggs, and bac-y," Dean said

"Please," Doctor Benton pleaded

"Please what?" I spat "You've been killing poor bastards for over 150 years and now you got a request? Shut up,"

"No, you don't understand. I can help him. I know what he needs,"

I felt a pang of guilt fill me at the thought of saving Dean. Dean must have realized as he put a reassuring hand on my shoulder.

"We might have to cut him up into little bits. You know, this immortality thing is a bitch," Dean said

"I can read the formula for you. You know...immortality...Forever young, never die," Doctor Benton pleaded.

"Dean," Sam said

"Sam," Dean said

Sam walked out of the room, indicating Dean should follow. Not wanting to be left alone with the Doctor, I followed as well.

"What?" Dean asked

"I mean, we're talking hell in three weeks. Or needing a new pancreas in like half a century," Sam explained

"Yeah, well, you can't exactly get those at a Kwik-E-Mart,"

"It's not perfect, but it buys us more time to think of something better. We just need time, Dean. I mean, please, just...just hink about it,"

Dean looked over at me and back at Sam "No,"

"Dean, don't you want to live?" Sam argued

"What he is isn't living. Look, this is simple,"

"Simple?"

"To me it is, okay. Black or white; human, not human." Dean walked back to stand in front of Doctor Benton "See, what the Doc is is a freakin' monster. I can't do it. I would rather go to hell,"

"You don't understand. I can help you!" Doctor Benton called out

Dean covered a rag with more choloroform and placed it over Doctor Benton's mouth. "Now, I'm gonna take care of him. You can either help me or not. It's up to you,"

Sam walked away, I watched him leave the room.

"Would it really be that bad?" I asked causing Dean to look up at me. "Would it really be that bad to be a monster?"

"Selina...that's not what I meant,"

"I know what you meant, Dean. But would it really be that bad, if I could turn you..."

"It's too much of a risk!" Dean exclaimed causing me to flinch. Dean sighed "What I'm trying to say is, is that the Doc here lost sight of what humanity really is like, that's what makes him a monster. I don't want to lose that..."

"I could help you," I whispered

Dean lifted my head up with his finger so I was looking up at him "I know you could. But the risk is too great of a chance, and I don't want to end up hurting you or Sam. We'll find a way to fix this, okay,"

I nodded my head as Dean kissed the top of my head.
