Chapter 27

"Okay all ready?" Tony asked you as you walk out in your suit

"Yeah" You say trying to hide the fact you were terrified

You knew this was a terrible idea- Tony though you could lure firebolt out to fight you- then everyone would attack. But you knew how powerful she was, you had seen the evil glow in her eyes, you knew no one would leave this fight unscathed.

"You don't need to worry, we won't let anything happen to you" Tony assured you

"It's not me I'm worried" about you mutter

"Y/n we can handle ourselves" Natasha said as she walked into the room

"You Guys didn't see her last time" you say to the group of Tony, Steve,Natasha, peter and Wanda, who were now all sitting or standing in the living room with you "she- she is more powerful than we could imagine, I don't really know how to describe it but she can't be taken down by sheer force, she won't go down because we go in all guns blazing, I promise you this will not be an easy fight"

"Well Aren't you a ray of sunshine?" Tony says after a short pause

"Oh ha ha" you retort sarcastically

"she may not even come"  vision points out

"Yes see? This is a terrible idea!" You yell while pointing at vision

"Y/n you need to calm down" peter says as he walks over to you "we will be fine, we've faced worse"

"I don't think you understand how powerful she is! Firebolt won't stop until she's taken me down and if you guys go in the fight she will probably very much like to kill you too" you say

"Probably?" Natasha says with a laugh

"Well if we're lucky she might invite us for a cup of tea and a chit chat" you say

Everyone chuckles, and peter puts his hand on your shoulder

"Y/n we will be fine, ok?"

"Fine but I want it on record I think this is a terrible idea and even if we take her down none of us will leave this fight without a scratch" you say with a sigh

*short time skip*

"Ok, do you remember he signal?" Steve asks through his comm as you walk through the wear-house you fought firebolt last time

"Yup, but it's dumb so I'm not going
to do it, if i want you I will scream: now! that's much better that the shit you suggested" you reply

"Language!"

You chuckle and take in a deep breath

Ok here goes

"Hey!" You yell "uh firebolt! You- Uh you wanna fight?!"

"Really y/n?" Peter says " through the comms

"I'm not good at this ok?" You whisper scream back

"Hey firebolt?! You want a rematch?! I'm right here!" You yell

"Better" you hear peter say

"I'm all open! Come on!" You yell again, getting into it
"Come on! are you a wimp?! Huh?!"

"Good!" peter says

"What?! Too scared to face me?! Or did I finish you last time?! You wanna quit or do you wANT TO STAND UP AND FIGHT ME YOU COWARD!?" You scream

Then you feel the familiar heat rise up behind you and you duck, just missing a fireball

"I AM NOT A COWARD" firebolt yells at you

"YEAH YOU ARE YOU SON OF A BITCH, I WILL END YOU!" You scream firing a huge pile of ice at her that she only just dodges

"Woah y/n, you are suppose to pretend to be weak!" Tony yells into the comms but you are too fired up to care (ha ha fired up, get it?)

"Fireball on your six!" Ada yells from your suit

You dodge it and shoot an icicle that hits her in the leg, she lets out an enraged scream and you leap away as she fires another blast

scream into your suit "Hey a liTTLE HELP HERE?"

"Yeah sorry!" Peter yells

He swings in and webs firebolt with such force she is thrown against the wall. She screams but recovered quickly- burning off the web and standing up

"Ah brought your little friend have you?" She laughed

And threw a fireball at peters feet, he easily dodged but as he was swinging she threw another that hit his side, you screamed as he fell to the floor

"Well you're going to have to do better than that" She sneered

Then you heard a familiar charging noise and ducked as a beam from iron man shot towards firebolt, it didn't seem to hurt her, more just annoy her but as she was distracted you ran to peter

You sighed in relief-the burn wasn't too bad, but he had hit his head and probably had a concussion. He groaned and tried to sit up

"Hey hey, sit down it's ok" you say trying to ignore the fighting noises coming from behind you

"Y-y/n?" He asks

"Yeah I'm going to get you out of here quick" you reply thankful he could recognise you

"No, no I-I'm fine" he says

"Oh shut up" you reply "you are clearly not 'fine' just let me pick you up"

Peter looked like he wanted to protest but stopped

You picked him up bridal style and took off

"Leaving so soon?!" Firebolt Yelled

She shot a well aimed fireball at you and you knew you weren't fast enough to get away, you turned away so peter would wouldn't be hit and braced yourself

"Aghh!" You yell as the fire ball hits its target 

You struggle to stay up so you fly swiftly downwards and place peter gently down

Then you fly back and look in horror at the fight scene that lay before you
