it only takes a few more months for ashton to find out from calum himself that the boy is smoking week and doing heroine. he manages to hide his shock when calum comes over later that day and they watch something random that the boy picked.

usually, ashton would pay attention but today, he can't manage to ignore the fact that calum is in danger, regardless of how often he does heroine.

after a few more hours of staring at him hopelessly, ashton finally asks how it all started.

"It was supposed to be a one timer, i promised that the next time would be my last but i couldn't stop and i'm here now."

and with a small shrug calum inches closer to ashton and leans his head on his shoulder.

ashton can't help the worry that builds up in his chest every time he looks at the younger boy.
