Of all the places you have travelled to for holidays or to meet with Tom on your free time, you had never been to New York during Christmas season. You had been here for two weeks with your boyfriend since he had to shoot some scenes for the upcoming Spiderman sequel. Sure, the cold became numbing sometimes but nothing compared to the way Christmas lit everything up in colors. Fairy lights, peppermint hot cocoa and lots of Michael Bublé Christmas songs are some of things that you adored the most about this season. You were flying out to spend Christmas with Tom's family in a week and then you'd spend New Year's with yours. You had been looking for presents for the past few days, checking names off the list and slowly filling the hotel room with wrapping paper, ribbons and boxes.

Among the mess of scattered papers and postcards, you sat wrapping presents for your friends and family humming along to the music you were playing with your phone. How were you getting all of that to England? You had no idea. Probably in a big box, but you would ask Tom when he came back. He had gone out with Harry and Haz to wander around and look for some places to take some pictures in. You had decided to stay in and actually get some wrapping done, otherwise the 24th would come and everything would still be in the shopping bags.

Your phone lit up with a notification and you stopped cutting ribbons to grab it from the coffee table.

T: Love, the boys and I are done for the night.
T: Let's go and grab some dinner.
You: Sure, let me get dressed
T: 😏😏😏
You: into something ELSE, dork
T: I'll be there in 5
T: love you
You: 😘

You washed your face and got changed into some jeans, boots, a shirt with a sweater on top and a coat. You were looking for you scarf and gloves when the bedroom door opened signaling that Tom had arrived. "You look beautiful," He said engulfing you in his arms and holding you close, "I missed you."

You brought your hands to his hair self-indulgently, "I missed you too." His smile made your stomach flip about ten times before he brought his lips down to yours.

You carded your fingers softly through his hair as his hands slipped under your sweater only to find another layer underneath making him groan, "Too many layers."

You laughed breaking the kiss with one last peck, "As much as I'd like to continue this, I'd like to eat first. I'm starving."

Tom nodded, kissing your forehead before placing his beanie on your head. "It's cold outside," He whispered kissing you again before stepping back and walking to the closet.

"Your scarf is in the closet, you hung it here last night." He said opening the closet door revealing the scarf.

"How did you-"

"And your gloves are in the pockets of your coat."

You were sure your cheeks were a deep shade of red as you indeed found the gloves there, "You know me so well." You shook your head.

"Because I love everything about you," Tom smiles putting your scarf around your neck and taking you hand. "Let's go, I want to take you somewhere."

You gave him a quizzical look as you detected a nervous tone in his voice but let it go as the both of you walked out of the room and went out to get dinner.

"The Top of the Rock," You smiled looking all around you, "We're on the Top Of The Rock. It's almost midnight!"

"Not on the top yet," Tom smiled down at you as he started to climb the stairs holding your hand and dragging you along. "Okay now we are." He kissed your lips briefly before both of you leaned on the railing side by side. Tom let out a shuddering breath, probably because of the cold so you leaned closer to him.

"It's amazing." You mumbled as your eyes tried to take everything in.

You stood there, dazed for a second at how beautiful the city looked in front of you. The fairy lights on the trees and the decorations on the Rockefeller Center left you speechless. The empire state stood ahead bathed in green and red light and the many buildings surrounding it resembled Christmas trees with the many lights that glimmered from the windows.

"I never thought the Christmas tree would look even more beautiful from up here." You sighed mostly to yourself, forgetting about the cold and just enjoying the beautiful view.

"It is beautiful, isn't it?" Tom smiled from where he stood next to you, placing a kiss on your cheek.

You hummed in agreement closing your eyes and feeling the cold breeze hit your cheeks, "It's perfect."

You glanced to your side when you heard soft laughing, finding a couple on the other edge of the railing. They were holding each other as they whispered and laughed again, their goofiness reminding you of your relationship with Tom.

"We're not the only ones here," You whispered with a smile as the guy gazed his girlfriend's eyes putting his hand in his pocket. "Baby, I think he's going to propose to her."

The couple looked back at you and you gave them a smile that slowly turned into a confused frown as they looked behind your back in surprise. Oh the probably recognized Tom, you thought to yourself but changed your mind when they pointed behind you making you turn around.

"Oh my God!" You gasped covering your mouth with your gloved hands, your eyes immediately beginning to tear up.

Tom was kneeling in front of you, a big smile on his face as he held up a black velvet box showing the most beautiful ring you'd ever seen. "Y/N, my darling, nothing convinces me more that you're the love of my life than the feeling on my chest every time I look into those beautiful eyes, or you smile at me. It feels as if my chest would explode in any minute and your words, your touch or your lips set it off. I love you, so much, every bit of you with every bit of my heart. You're my best friend, my light, my lover, someone I know I can always rely on, the one who knows all of my secrets, and now I'm going to tell another one."

You felt your cheeks hurting from how wide you were smiling, your tears were raining down your cheeks freely and the cold was suddenly gone as you kneeled in front of the most beautiful man you've ever met, holding his face in your hands. "Anything, you know you can tell me anything." You whispered.

"I want to marry you," Tom whispered back with tears glazing his eyes, "I want you to be my forever because if there's something I can't live without, is you. I want to be yours, spend the rest of my life with you, start a family with you. If you'll have me."

You nodded your head repeatedly, "Yes, yes!" Your tears clouded your vision once more before bringing his lips to yours and kissing him with every bit of love you had for him. You felt him smile against the kiss and pull you closer to him, "I love you so so so so much." You whispered pressing your foreheads together.

Tom took your hand, taking your glove off and kissing your knuckles, "And I love you, baby." He took the ring and slid it on your finger giving it another kiss, almost reverently before smiling at you again.

You wiped away the tears that escaped his eyes as well as yours before you both stood up embracing each other.

You heard clapping and pulled a little bit back from his arms to look to your right where the couple from earlier stood offering you their congratulations. You both thanked them and heard another round of cheers, these belonging to Harry and Haz who had their cameras around their neck.

"I wanted to capture the moment," Tom mumbled into your cheek where he placed several kisses.

"I can't believe years ago, I was crushing on you and now here we are." You shook your head in disbelief, a big smile on your face.

"Aww babe you had a crush on me? How cute." Tom teased you as he held you tighter.

"We're getting married, Tom."

"Still."
