'You know what's strange?'

I don't think that I remember how my mother died. I know you guys are probably tired of me talking about her, but i'm serious. I don't remember...... actually I don't really know how she died at all, I don't think anyone knows how she died, not even my dad. Which is odd because he's the one who explained it to me, but he didn't really explain. It's weir because usually when someone dies you want to know what happened but it seemed like details were left unsaid.

He told me that my mother had died and that she was in an accident. But that was it. That was the last thing that was said about her that day, actually that was the last thing anyone spoke that day.

[SATURDAY NIGHT]

I sat in my room for hours trying to put it together but nothing was making sense to me. The fact that I went through with her funeral and that not one person knew what happened to her. I couldn't take my eyes off the picture of us. And I couldn't help but wonder what happened to her.

*DING DONG* the doorbell went

I snatched myself to reality. And looked at the time

'Omg it's 8:00pm oh no! How long have I been thinking about this?'

I could hear the muffles of Ethan, Grayson, and my father downstairs the. and with each step my heart trembled faster until...

*SQUEAK!!!* and there goes my door

"Y/N you in here?", Ethan said

I stood at the sight of him

"Hey!", Grayson followed right behind sticking his head out from the door

"uhmmm hey? what are you guys doing here?", I asked embarrassed

"Weeeellll.... it's uh Saturday. and I do remember tell you about the par-"

"I ..I know I just.. I mean its kind of early and not to mention I don't really remember discussing the transportation arrangements.", I said cutting Ethan off

"oh sorry I texted you a couple of times and I didn't get a reply. so.", Ethan continued

"Yeah we just wanted to make sure you were still alive.", Grayson concluded as they walked around my room.

"right uhmm you know what I don't think that a party is great for tonight, I got this thing going on-"

"is this your mom?", Grayson said pointing at the picture of both of us.

I paused briefly at the sight, 'why was this so hard for me?'

"uhm, ...yeah, yeah it is", I said

"she's beautiful I see where you get your looks from.", Grayson said

"true, You look just like her.", Ethan said

"thanks.", I said

"where is your mom I know your dads here but he's scary."

"why have a fetish for older women.", I teased

"haha Ew no my fetishes are a bit more extreme.", Ethan laughed

"hhmmph", I smiled slightly which slowly turned into a frown "My mother died a two months ago."

"oh Y/N I'm so sorry.", Grayson said

"its okay.... You know what a party sounds like fun. I'm gonna get ready and we can head down together cool?"

"Uh yeah sure, we are gonna wait downstairs.", ethan claimed

"okay great.", I replied faking a smile

I turned around and headed to my closet trying to hold in my tears but Ethan and Grayson's presence was strong. I let some tears slide down the side off my face until I heard the door shut slowly. 'somethng is wrong I can feel it.' There's no way me and my father got through her funeral without knowing how she died. I want to know what happened to her. and I want to know now. but first

'this party'
