What are we?

Anne's POV

As me and gilbert started walk to our next class which is gym he asked me a question. Before he asked me though I had to stop at my locker to grab a different pair of shoes because I was wearing sandals. as I stopped at my locker gilbert looked at me and said

G: "Hey I need to ask you this question because I'm sorta confused right now"

my hands start to get a little sweaty I feel my books start to slip out of my hands but I grip my books harder and say in a calm steady voice.

A: " ya what up"

omg that took so much effort to say in a calm voice I thought I was going to lose it. then gilbert started to speak.

G: " so what are we are we like friends or something because you usually just look at me occasionally but now we're like talking and I don't know what this is so can you please tell me what this is because I'm sorta freaking out"

I saw how scared he was so I decided that it was a great idea to get him back for kissing me on the cheek

A: " I don't know maybe we're like best friends maybe we're just friends or maybe we're dating"
As I said that I started to walk away I could feel his eyes on me he was so scared he didn't m ow what this was and it terrified him I could tell.
