Love Island 2018. Sam Bird

Bittersweet

Natasha POV

"So the couple we want to save is....." I shut my eyes in fear of hearing it "Natasha and Sam"

I breathed a sigh of relief and threw my arms around Sam's neck

"We're alright love" He breathed and kissed the side of my head

"Megan and Wes, you haven't been saved by the public or your fellow Islanders. Therefore you cannot stay on Love Island as a couple" I looked at Caroline in confusion and Sam gripped my hand "But this doesn't have to be the end yet"

"Are you having a laugh?" Megan snapped and Wes put an arm around her shoulders

"It's a big decision, it's either split up but remain in the villa or stay together and leave" my mouth fell open in shock "But I can tell you that 2 new boys and 2 new girls are waiting to enter the villa"

"What the fuck" I shook my head in annoyance "That's so unfair" I whispered to Sam

"If you decide to split up then you will each take 2 new islanders on a date and you will decide who to couple up with at the next recoupling but you can't be with each other. But if you decide to stay as a couple you will leave immediately without returning to the villa. Take some time now to discuss it on the decking"

Megan and Wes walked over there together and sat down

"This is so shit" I whispered and Sam nodded slightly

"But at least it's not us, that was very nearly us over there" He reminded me, I smiled and turned to the other islanders

"Thank you all, so much" I pulled Josh and Laura in for a hug

"I was never going to let them send you out" Josh smiled sadly "I can't lose my sister"

"Thank you" I smiled

"Megan and Wes please come back over" We all turned away from each other and watched them approach us "Well you now have to decide what you want to do. It's the ultimate test. Are you going to stay together but leave or split up and remain in the villa?"

"I think we have made the right decision, we're both loyal and when you know what you want you know, and this wasn't easy but we both know it's the right decision" I swallowed and Sam laced his fingers through mine

"What's it going to be?" Caroline asked us

"Well I went for a long time without seeing Megan, and now that I've got her back, I'm not going to let anything keep me away anymore" Wes explained "So we have decided to leave the villa"

"I'll see you soon" I wrapped my arms around Wes "I'm happy for you guys"

"I'm sorry babe" Dani croaked "But you deserve to stay, they didn't listen to me"

"It's alright Dan" Wes assured her "I get to leave here with Megan, what more could I ask for" He shrugged and went to hug the lads

"I know we didn't always see eye to eye, but you have been a great friend" I smiled sadly at Megan and pulled her in for a hug "You deserve happiness"

"Thank you Tash" She smiled at me "It's been a great experience and I'll miss you"

"I'll miss you too babes" I gave her a final hug before moving back over to Sam, who laced our fingers together and kissed my cheek

"Well islanders, the time has come for Megan and Wes to leave the island" Caroline announced and we all waved them goodbye as they headed up the stairs "You are now all free to return to the villa, but there will still be 4 new islanders arriving later" She gave us a final smile and headed back down to her boat

Once we had all made it back up to the villa, I let go of Sam and headed straight up for the dressing room. I sat down in a seat and put my head in my hands

Since being in the villa, I had lost my 3 closest friends, Rosie, Georgia, and Ellie

Tears started to run down my cheeks but I didn't bother trying to stop them, I sat there and cried for a while, I didn't know how much longer I could take all of this, maybe it would have been better if Sam and I had left

"Tash..." I heard someone say and wrap their arms around me "It'll get better" I recognised it as Josh's voice

"I hate it" I sobbed "Everyone keeps leaving, I can't be here anymore"

"Hey, hey, hey" he gently lifted my chin to face him "You've still got us, me, Sam, everyone in here cares about you"

"But I can't do it without them, my best friends are all gone and now I don't know what I'm supposed to do" I sniffed

"You'll be okay" He kissed my forehead "I'll leave you to get ready for this evening, but only come downstairs if you want to, I'll tell Sam that you're okay"

"Alright" I nodded "Thank you"

"Anytime" He smiled sadly and left
