A/N: As always, I cannot accurately remember what was said, but I'll try to recreate the words according to what I remember the context was.
TRIGGER WARNING: Mention of murder, burning people/burnt corpse, implied suicide

The scene was pitch black.
Although I couldn't see anything, I knew that there was someone else with me. Nobody hostile. It was just that I I had a feeling that I was a police officer and that the 'someone else' was my partner.
We were going over theories of the case that we were working on. A murder case.
A greenish text box appeared whenever we spoke. That confirmed that fact that I was, once again, in a game.
My partner had a pleasant voice but, for some reason, I couldn't tell what my partner's gender was.
PARTNER: What do you think?
A white-rimmed image of a portly man wearing a thick pale brown winter coat popped up on the screen. The suspect, I assumed. He looked like he was in his 30s and had peach skin and very short black hair.
SUSPECT PROFILE— UNNAMED MAN
- Lives on a snow-capped mountain
- The current winter winds made the mountain even colder than usual
ALLIE: The man must've been very cold and lonely. So cold and lonely that it could've driven him to do (the murder).
PARTNER: And the woman?
Another white-rimmed image appeared, replacing the first one. It was a woman with dark red hair wearing a white coat. She had her fists clenched, her arms placed in an X shape, over her chest.
SUSPECT PROFILE — UNNAMED WOMAN
- Found burnt to death
ALLIE: Ah, the woman. She must've been very desperate (to prove her innocence). So desperate that she could've set herself on fire.
Suddenly, the image of the said woman was set ablaze with glowing orange flames.
PARTNER: Oh, jeez. What did you mean then?
ALLIE: That we can not rely on anyone to bring justice to the killer. Not even God. Trust only ourselves.
Partner stands up suddenly, their hands slamming onto the metal table in front of them.
PARTNER: What?! Do you stand in opposition to God?

A/N: Just to be clear, I would never oppose God. Also, my logic in this dream is just...something else.
