A/N: Sorry that it's shorter and more vague than all my other dreams.
By the way, imagine that the song above was playing throughout the entire dream.

1806 hours
I was in a place that was devoid of almost any light; so dark that I couldn't even see the edges of where I was.
Flashes of hundreds (or thousands?) of scenes played in front of me on large glowing boxes. The glow from the boxes only lit up a tiny rectangular patch in front and behind it, constantly changing colour according to the background of the scene that was playing.
The scenes, I knew, were from the hundreds of books that I'd read during my entire life; some scenes were even the scenarios that I created for my own books. Scenes of rebellion, reunion, joy, sadness, determination, everything.
As the scenes played, I remember all the emotions that I felt when I read the books. But one emotion was prominent against every other one: a heart-aching sadness.
Sadness for my characters, their situations, their deaths, their endings that were, sometimes, just not enough.
Out of hundreds of scenes, I only clearly remember one:
A woman running to hug a man, burying her face against his broad shoulder when she reached him; the man's arms wrapping tightly around her in response. No words spoken, their faces reflecting the pure joy of being together again.
The couple's peach skin, the woman's black hair, and the man's hombre brown hair were a stark difference against their white clothes and the pristine white background.
I remember that, as the scenes continued playing in front of me, I was crying an endless stream of tears.
I wiped my tears away with my wrists and the tips of my fingers, saying one sentence repeatedly:
"I'm so happy."

P.S. A/N: Not sure if it had anything to do with it but, one of the dilemmas that my character's currently facing is the question, "Is it worth it to love someone even after everything you know that they'll put you through?"
