This is an anime-styled story so it takes place in Japan I had to do some research here is information in case you get confused.
1. Calling someone by their first name in Japan means you and that person are really close friends, so someone who you're not so close to would be called by their last name.
2. The Japanese school year has three semesters, unlike in the US where summer marks the end of the school year, in Japan, summer marks the end of the first semester.
Another note this story was first published in Fictionpress and is still currently in progress over there.
Last note: the other chapters have been unpublished for editing reasons, because I decided to change some part about the world building and each edited chapter will be out when it's ready.
