Chapter 15

Chapter 15, is here with a little bit of a time skip.

One month later.....

'1863- Somewhere on an island' 

King Demetri and his crew had stopped at an island a few days ago as a storm was coming and they didn't want to be on the sea when the storm hit so they pulled up by an island to keep cover and rest. "Your majesty from what I gather the storm will hit by tonight" Alaric said "we should make sure we're all at the cave when the storm hits" the King replied they had discovered an empty cave after exploring the island and they decided to use it as shelter. "Yes of course your majesty" Alaric replied "once the storm has passed and the skies are clear we'll return to the sea to find my daughter" Kine Demetri said "yes your majesty" Alaric replied as they looked out at the sea which was starting to get rough as the sky filled with grey and black clouds.

Meanwhile..

'1863- Somewhere along the eastern sea'

Princess Davina was stood on the deck looking out at sea she looked concerned as she saw how the sea was getting rough and how windy it was getting as grey and cloud clouds filled the sky with not one bit of sunshine peaking through. Davina knew that a nasty storm was brewing and she knew things would get ugly. "Is everything alright?" the Captain asks from behind the Princess "a storm is brewing you should probably consider stopping somewhere while the storm passes" she replied "it will be fine. My crew are preparing for when the storm hits and my ship is designed specifically for when storms hit" Kol replied "not this storm. This storm feels like it's going to be stronger than others you've encountered" Davina replied turning to face the Captain who she had become very close too over the last month. Captain Kol had kept by her side after she recovered and healed from Lucien's attack as he wanted to make sure she was okay at all times. They'd sit in his room or stand on the deck and talk away about random things, they'd throw jokes at each other and always seemed to have a bit of banter with each other. Kol did not once try to touch her inappropriately not wanting to scare her off especially since he thinks she's still not over what Lucien did to her as she sometimes has nightmares about Lucien raping her. Kol knows she has nightmares about it as he's heard her scream from her room and he's heard her tell Lorenzo which makes him a little bit envious that she doesn't talk to him about the nightmares. "I'm sure it will be fine. I've encountered many storms and we've always been fine" Kol assured the Princess who still felt unsure "I think just to be sure you should stop somewhere to keep everyone safe" Davina said "what so you can try to run off?" he questioned despite how close the two had grown there's been no doubt that there's still a bit of distrust between the two as Kol knows if she got the chance she would escape and Davina knows she would too. "No so nobody gets hurt during the storm" Davina replied pointing out to the sea where big waves were starting to appear "everybody will be fine so just calm down" Kol said "whatever you say" Davina responded walking round the Captain and walking away.

Princess Davina hid in her room and locked the door as she felt the ship rock and bounce a bit as the sea was getting more aggressive as the storm approached. She sat on her bed holding a hand to her chest and grabbing the pendant she has around her neck as she shut her eyes and started humming as she heard thunder and heavy rain from outside. She heard the whooshing sounds of the waves approaching and crashing against the ship roughly knocking the ship to the side and she heard thumping on the deck signalling someone fell or slipped. "Steady the ship!" she heard the Captain order "the wind is too strong!" she heard Kai yell "Watch out!" she heard Damon yell before the sound of a wave crashed violently against the ship.

Davina twiddled the pendant in her fingers as she started singing a song her mother use to sing to her as a child whenever there was a storm. Davina use to be scared of storms and her mother would sing her a song about the storm to sooth her.
