I distinctly remember the night sky full of stars that hovered above my form, my body sprawled onto the grass lifelessly. I didn't care, in that moment I didn't care about anything at all.

I closed my eyes and knitted my eyebrows in concentration. I wanted, no, I needed a distraction.

That's when you appeared, your face suddenly popped in front of mine, sensing movement my eyes shot open and I let out a startled scream. Your expression was priceless- that was the day I heard your laughter for the first time.

I fell in love with it. It rang continuously in my ears, a lullaby meant to lull me to sleep.

You lay down on the grass beside me, somewhere along the way your fingers found themselves tangled with mine.

I didn't pay attention, all I could focus on was the worrying rythym of my heart and the beautiful glistening moon.
