"Where'd you get those?" He was confused.
"I... I was picking blackberries with my dad and I... reached too far and fell in the bush!" I laughed, brushing my fringe off my face.
He bought it.
He didn't question me as I pulled my sleeve back over my hands.
I didn't want to tell him.
I was scared of his reaction.
He would think I'm insane.
I guess I was.
Besides, I hadn't told anyone what I was going through.
And I didn't plan on telling anyone.
They couldn't help me.
I was too far gone to be saved.
I made sure to stay a little more on guard for the rest of the night.
I made sure my sleeves were pulled over my hands, my hoodie was covering my stomach, my jeans were covering my ankles.
If Jack saw the others I'd have a hard time thinking of an excuse.
When the movie finished, he switched off the TV and I snuggled into his chest.
He was so warm and comfy.
He smelled nice.
I loved the way he held me.
The way he kissed me, our lips touching one another's.
I never wanted this feeling to end.
Slowly, my eyes closed, and I drifted off to sleep, cuddling with Jack in his bed.
