Listen to 'Hallucinate' by 'Oliver Riot'

Charlotte's POV

I need to speak to Ellie, find out if she's okay.
To find out if she even knows what's happened.

"I need to see Ellie" I say frantically whilst my breathing picks up.

"We don't know where she is" Ethan says worry in his eyes.

"I need to ring her" I reply, my breathing only quickening.

I pick up my phone and dial Ellie's number.

After ringing a couple of times a croaky voice answers.

"Where are you el?"
"I'm-I'm at home?" she reply's confused.
"Ellie I'm coming over"
"What? Why?" She sounds panicked.
"I won't be long"
*call ended*

"Ethan I have to go" I say rushing to get my shoes on.

"I'm coming with you" he says insistent.

"No Ethan, I'd have so much explaining to do. She doesn't need that too" I say grabbing my bag.

"Fine, but call me if anything happens" he says pulling me into a long hug.

"I will, I promise" I reply as he open the front door.

"Drive safe" I hear Ethan's voice get louder as I walk fast to my car.

My heart is racing.

Every inch, every muscle is confused, concerned and overwhelmed.

It's like I'm angry but I'm scared and I'm worried all in one.

I put my seat belt on and Ethan had already opened the gate for me.

Speeding off, I headed to Ellie's as fast as I could.
Luckily they lived in a similar part of town, the wealthy area.

-

I run to the door, knocking frantically.

Ellie's mom answers.

"uh, hi Jenny. Can I see Ellie?" I say practically stepping into the house already.

"Yes hunny, sure go right up." She pauses "Is everything okay?" She asks.

"Yeah" I let my voice trail off as I go up the stairs and to Ellie's room. She seemed confused, ready to inquire but I'm gone before she can ask anymore.

I reach her large white door, twisting the handle slowly.

"Hey El, are you okay?" I say to the the girl looking lifeless sat in bed.

I feel my heart being scrunched at the pure sight of it.

"Yes" she reply's monotony staring directly at the wall.

I've never seen Ellie like this. The bubbly, happy persona she normally has is,

well...

nonexistent.

And it's scary.

I sit on the edge of her bed before she speaks again.

"They hurt me Char, he hurt me" a single tear fell down her face as she continued looking at the white wall that stands in front of us.

I placed my hand of hers, feeling myself becoming more and more upset seeing her like this.

"I know El, we're going to fix this. They'r- he's going to pay for this, I promise you." I said reassuring her.

As I finished what I'd been saying it's like all the pain and emotion came crashing into her and poured out of her eyes.

I quickly pulled her into me and my own eyes became glossy.

This isn't right.

She doesn't deserve any of this.

I just don't understand.

How?

Why?

If only it could've been stopped.
If I wasn't off being so selfish and distracted maybe she wouldn't have gotten her self into such a messed up situation.

I just wish I wasn't so selfish.

Ethan's POV

If I'd just made sure Ellie stayed until the boys went and dropped her home myself.

All it would've taken would have been a little time and explaining to Charlotte.

But no.

I'm too fucking selfish.

I wish I wasn't so selfish.
