Pan's POV

The fates gave him a little help, pulled a few strings if you will. But now they were all in the same place. Flinders street station. The heart of melbourne.

Pan stood under the clocks waiting for their trains to arrive with all the other ordinary mortals

Pan stood under the clocks waiting for their trains to arrive with all the other ordinary mortals. It was the prime meeting spot he learnt. Girls and boys waiting for their dates who may or may not be lying about being on the train. There was a sense of nervousness that buzzed air, spiking as each minute ticked by. With all the mortals rushing part him he just couldn't help but notice the anxious looks of the mortals he was waiting with. They reflected his feelings perfectly. As if he were looking into mortal mirrors.

He'd never had to do it all at once like this. Usually it was one or two at a time. Never 5, although he had along found four and was kicking himself for that.

No four would have to do. The 5th would come later he reassured himself. He just needed the majority for now to avoid trouble.

Finally they started to emerge.

Naoko in somewhat "sporty" but still majorly gothic clothing stepped into the train station from the platform trailing behind her group of actual athletes who were actually excited for this event

Naoko in somewhat "sporty" but still majorly gothic clothing stepped into the train station from the platform trailing behind her group of actual athletes who were actually excited for this event. She had tried to talk to them but it was exhausting, they just spouted off students from other schools and how they were going to beat them. She had wondered for a moment how they knew all these students by name but didn't care to voice that curiosity and spent the rest of the long train trip on her phone wishing Cherry were there and not just pitying her through facebook messenger.

The overly enthusiastic sports teacher gave her a shady look as they crossed the station toward the dome.

Naoko rolled her eyes and put her phone away.

The station was packed and people were walking in every direction possible. Naoko looked around and her eyes caught on a boy. He was handsome, she supposed for a completely normal looking guy. But there was something beyond his looks that allured her to him.

She couldn't control her feet.

Cale had decided if he didn't look at his phone he couldn't be nervous about his dad calling him

Cale had decided if he didn't look at his phone he couldn't be nervous about his dad calling him. He slipped it away into a pocket taking a deep breath as he walked across the station. He felt vulnerable around this many people as if somehow they all knew what he was doing and were secretly judging him for it. But the real fear came from running into someone he knew.

He wished that he wore a hood.

He tried to bee line to the exit as fast as possible. Get in and out of the city and have it be done.

But something caught his eye.

Or rather someone.

Copper hair tied back in a practical way. She didn't look like someone to be messed with by the way she was walking. Long confident strides but her face truly gave her away. A mixture of anger, sadness and worry all rolled into one. Of all the hundreds of people rushing around him Cale found a true connection to this girl.

Under the dome he stopped in his tracks to approach her.

Alkira had everything she owned in her hands and on her back

Alkira had everything she owned in her hands and on her back. She had slept at the train station waiting for the first train of the day which didn't actually amount to much sleeping and she had been woken by the 5th train of the day.

Despite her aching body, she was out. Well and truly. And she had no idea where she was going to start. The station was full of people with purpose, she had a purpose. To survive; other than that she didn't know. She thought hard. To survive she must eat. So that was what she was going to do first. Eat.

Taking a deep breath she strode across the station toward the promising light that shone beneath the clocks.

Her eye strayed for a second and strangely enough, Nyarai.

Zodwa was slow behind Nyarai. Nyarai took her hand not wanting to close her sister to the chaos of a train station. The gallery was close by but of course Zodwa had slept in so they had to go get breakfast first.

Zodwa was star struck by the station even though she had been there so many times before. Nyarai smiled at her sister wishing she could see the beauty that her sister saw. She let her have a little look around as they approached the dome.

Zowda wandered, almost bumping into tourists and tripping over her own feet as she gazed up at the roof.

Nyarai laughed to herself a little and in the crowd there was a girl. She was unlike anyone else in 2 ways. One she was gothic and the second being Nyarai was drawn to her.

Almost completely forgetting about her sister Nyarai approached her but the girl was looking as where. Following her eyesight she saw Cale then Alkira. What were the chances?

They came together all four of them standing next to each other. The air was alive with the sparks of fate.

Pan smiled and sent a final thank you to the fates before approaching them.

They all turned and gave him surprised looks "You," they said in unison.

Pan replied with "sleep," and they all did.
