usually my author's notes at the end of my books are like 'lol this was bad thanks for reading' but this one's gonna be a bit different so feel free to skip it lmao

froyo is a rlly important book to me. i've never really seen zoe have any symptoms in the connor survives au, and that annoys me a lot.

most of y'all will probably know this already, but i've experienced similar to what zoe did. i won't go too much into it, but my older sister was abusive to me growing up, then she developed an eating disorder and that affected me a lot. it was a very traumatic experience for every member in my family, in froyo i combined zoe and mine's experiences. i wanted to show what growing up with an abusive sibling was like, because, as i've said before, i've never really seen it represented in many connor survives aus.

this was quite hard for me to write at some points i guess, like the chapter where connor's at the beach. i've always villainised connor even though i know he's a complex character like everyone in deh, and i tried my hardest to make him as realistic as possible yikes

overall, i've really enjoyed writing froyo because exploring dynamics of relationships is always something i've loved, and i hope y'all have enjoyed this too!!

sorry for like no ships this time there was going to be but then i wanted to mainly focus it on connor and zoe's relationship lmao

thank you to izzy for being froyo's number one stan i rlly appreciate it babe and i hope you enjoyed laughing at all my typos yukes xoxo

all my love,
-jem ✨
