EDEN'S POV

As we all Sat down at the table . I could feel his gaze . He kept staring this did not surprise me as humans and others seem to do.
"What do we owe this visit" I ask

" I am Xavier  the new Alpha of Vine park and this is ny Beta Damien.  I just took over the Vine Park as I'm sure you know and we wanted to introduce ourselves to our neighbours "" He said

^Welcome, as I hope the previous Alpha must have told u the terms of our peaceful coexistence all these years " I said

"I have been informed about that and hope to keep it going""

"That's good, If that will be all, "
I stand stating the end of our meeting. I feel the hair on my back rise as I feel a presence behind me.

I do not need to turn backto know who it was . Behind me was the Alpha and from what I can see his wolf instincts was trying to get my scent.

Looking at the amulet on my neck . I remember having collected ig from my Friend two decades ago , a gift she said. 

I guess i should be thankful cause over the ages ug had cone in handy in covering my scent from just about everyone. 

As I turn to the Alpha , I mask my face , lookingas cold as I was on the inside .

He looks straight at me, his piercing  blue eyes with a ring of silver around it, It felt like he was looking into the very soul I had lost a long time ago

He looks away and I am glad
He and his beta Damien make their way out the door
I can see kamal escorting them to the door

But before he walks out the door

He looks directly at me again
And i see a smirk , as his lips curve givinga hint of a knowing smile .
He is gonna be back, that i was certain of .
But did I wanna be around to see .

For the first time in a long centuries I was uncertain about what the future holds in store .
And I was curious
