as soon as night falls

there is a glass wall in place during the day. i can't touch you, you can't look at me the wrong way. we keep a safe distance, because we know if the glass breaks, we'll both get cut.

but as soon as night falls, the glass disappears. and your hands are all over me and i'm on top of you and your lips are everywhere and i can't breathe and it's ecstasy.

but the smallest sliver of sunlight is all it takes for us to live separate lives again, the glass firmly in place. although, those purposeful brushes of your hand against mine give me hope that one day we can take down that wall.
