Arc 1.3 - The person that I was hoping to see after four years

Four years... it has been four years! An excited glint appeared in Jingyi's eyes. 'Finally! It's time to meet the protagonist and meet Yun again! After four years of boredom, scratch that, after four years of nothing to do, the plot can finally begin, with something to do, at least!'

In those four years, Jingyi felt like he was wasting away, with the strangely cute Yijun by his side. He was happy that in the first few years of their life he was taller than Yijun. At least he wouldn't be shorter than him for the whole of his life.

Who would've thought that the sexual predator also known as the villain was a cute lil bun at this age? He was so cute that Jingyi had to forcefully restrain himself from pinching his cheeks whenever Yijun toddled up to him to ask if they wanted to play together or give some of his food to Jingyi.

Seeing Jingyi excited and looking like he was anticipating something, Yijun, who was sitting beside him, became curious. "Jin, why are you so excited?" He asked, blinking innocently at Jingyi.

Looking at his innocent face, Jingyi couldn't help but cough in his hand. He didn't dare to think of any indecent thoughts, since it would make him feel like as though he was a pedophile. He swept away all nasty thoughts in his mind.

Pausing for a few seconds, pondering as to what he should say to not sound weird, he then replied. "I heard that there would be someone coming today, and I just wanna know who is it."

Yijun blinked. "Someone?"

Jingyi smiled. "Someone." He wouldn't specify the protagonist's name or gender, if not the black shadows around the house and the elderly couple would become suspicious of him knowing too much and wonder how much he actually knows. Which is unfortunately, a lot. But it's not time to ruin their parade yet.

When Jie thought they were asleep, he decided to go to a nearby neighbouring village to trade and purchase goods with the old cart and sprightly bull that was bought two years ago for more convenient travelling. He did this occasionally, whenever he had the money or when there was an excessive amount of food that was collected from the forest and there was a lack of space in the storage room.

He always thought that he was quiet, but with his hobbling, it was nothing but quiet. Jingyi is both amazed and jealous at the fact that Yijun could sleep through all this noise, even though he was known for having keen senses in the book. Maybe it wasn't developed yet?

He really wished that he could trade places with Yijun so that he wouldn't constantly wake up from all this noise. He was sick of it, and he wanted to curse the people who fed him meals that would improve and temper his body until it became a perfect body for cultivation.

Yue couldn't help but to smile at their interaction. The two of them together were extremely cute, and it has been this way ever since Yijun was finally able to crawl. He stuck to Jingyi like glue, as though afraid of losing him. It was extremely cute to see him so clingy towards the other.

As for Jingyi? Well, he has been suffering from a meng overload ever since Yijun kept staring at him. So he didn't mind him being so sticky, but he hopes that in the future, the pervert Yijun won't be like this, as it would be such a pain.

As the novel didn't specify the time in which the protagonist appeared, Jingyi decided to wait at the doorstep until old man Jie brings him back. Yijun decided to stay with him as well as there was nothing else to do. After a few minutes, the two of them were deep in conversation.

Yijun was too bored and tired to continue waiting with him after an hour, so he decided to wander around the garden outside, every now and then showing him whatever he found.

As it was becoming hot outside, Yijun couldn't stand the heat and came back when the sun was at the top of the sky. After washing up and eating lunch, he fell asleep on one of the two beds meant for the two of them.
