yujin stood behind the closed door. trying to calm her heavy breathing. trying to stop her tears from falling anymore.
she placed her hand on her chest, repeating the words 'calm down' in her head.
it was working, she's breathing normally again. the girl sighed and sunk to the floor, on her knees now.
he used to throw glass at her too. he used to shout too. he used to lose temper too. he used to raised his hand.
"calm down, yujin. he's not here anymore." she tried to convince herself but struggled through the hiccups.
yujin then plopped on her bed, pressing the on button on her phone.

the tears never stopped. it just kept flowing. she simply did not know what to do.
'am i the right person for this? what if he gets worse living with me? can i do this? can i take good care of him?'
yujin doesn't know who to turn to. just a simply situation can make everything fall apart to her. she knew that was exactly how weak she was. a single action that triggered her can cause a setback.
she knew all of it too well. somehow it pained her chest.
yujin reached for her phone again. she needed comfort before she broke down completely. comfort. but why does the word sounds so foreign?
she dialed his number but it went to voicemail.
'it's fine. it's fine. i didn't want him to hear i cry anyways.'
