They tamed you,
with pearls and silk,
that beautiful heart of a dreamer,
trapped in a world of ribbons.
They broke you.

Celine had really been a fool and thought he'd changed.
Staring the images of his lips on another woman who was definitely not her left Celine feeling surprisingly numb. She'd put an abrupt stop on her flings and thought he'd do the same, she'd actually thought that Tahvo was doing better, that they were doing better. And god, for the last months they had, it was as if whatever fog that was between them had cleared away and they could finally see each other. Maybe that was the problem.
She saw him for what he really was;everything she hated within herself.
Unconciously, as if second nature she fiddled with the ring on her finger, contemplating whether or not to simply throw the damned thing away. She scoffed at the idea of Tahvo being loyal, the damned boy couldn't even be loyal if his life depended on it, he was fickle, easily swayed by the batting of an eyelash and the swaying of hips.
Not that she was any better, she was easily thrilled but more easily bored. God knows the amount of times the two were unfaithful, but there was something that had the two always coming back to the other, an invisible thread keeping them together no matter how far they went, no matter what or who they did. A thread that had been tied to them, not asking their permission, not hearing their protest.
"Celine, do you remember that time when we we're kids and you broke my arm-"The lightness and smile on Tahvo's face quickly disappearing as he saw the coldness present on Celine's features.
He moved to reach for Celine in front of her dressing table, but she moved out of his grasp and held up her hand, revealing the image on her phone. The colour vanished from Tahvo's skin as he saw the picture in the screen, his words lost.
"So tell me, where you going to tell me or just play boyfriend with me?" Celine snapped, to hell with approaching to this calmly, she was seething.
As if out of a trance, Tahvo smirked as he said," I am under no obligation to tell you anything. In fact if we're so keen on the truth, why don't you go and tell the papparazi that our engagement is purely a contract?"
"You don't fucking get it do you? This isn't about the contract or our parents, this is about you and me! I try, for the love of god, I try with you!"
"Oh please,"Tahvo said harshly " you strut around as if you're so innocent, as if you haven't done a damn thing wrong." Turning her shoulders so she could see their reflection in the mirror, he whispered in her ear "You're exactly like me."
