raindrops

and my love, i swear,
i got nothing to do with these raindrops.
while the sky is pouring its grey tears down our small towns and big cities, here i am pouring my heart out
on these letters
that will never reach you.

perhaps the same raindrops will kiss your skin,
perhaps the same cold wind will reach your ear,
but not these words.
for my love, I can still hear the echoes of our farewell.
the arch of your shoulders as you turn your back from me,
your fading footsteps,
our fading love.

I wish I can forget.
my love, please let me forget.
And not fiddle away my time writing another piece of our dismantled almosts.
or digging what's left
of our long gone forevers.
