I stood in front of the closed door, my hands started to tremble as my heart was about to rip out of my chest. I took a step forward and knocked.
"Come in," said a voice.
And, I did.
I walked inside the principals office and looked around, the desk sat in the middle of the room and behind it, sat a man.
He looked up from his files, his blue eyes made me gulp, he stood up and crossed his hands out in front of him, "well, you must be my new student," he said, "my name is Principle Martin." His thick british accent made my eyes grow wide.
"I'm Audrey Morris," my voice was faint and low, I didn't think he could hear me.
"Welcome Audrey," he smiled, and I couldn't help but smile back.
There was something about him that seemed a little off to me, the way he acts was one of them. My gut was telling me not to trust him.
"How you liking school so far?" He asked, "are you getting along with your peers?"
I shrugged my shoulders, "Well," my voice was cracked, "I do like the teachers, but I don't know about friends though."
"Don't worry about that," Mr. Martin said, "I had a new student that came in before you did and he was feeling the same way as you are now."
"New student?" I pulled my eyebrows together.
"Yes, his name is Jack Kennedy."
That name did not sound familiar to me at all, wait, is he that boy in my second period? The one who sat all alone in the back of the classroom with nobody around him? I wasn't sure if I was thinking out loud here.
"May I go back to class now?"
Chris nodded his head in response, a few moments later, I was out of the room.

I got home about 4:00 this afternoon, I threw my books on my bed and went into the kitchen to get a snack. As I was just digging into the pantry, I heard a knock on my door.
Who could that be? I thought and walked out of the kitchen.
I pulled the curtain and glanced out of my window to see a buick parked in my driveway, the car was unknown.
The knock came again, I froze, the only thought that came into my head was, burglars.
"Miss. Morris?" The voice was unfamiliar to me, it sounded more bostonian-irish.
I gulped and walked to the door.
"Miss. Morris? Are you there?" The voice sounded young and deep. I turned the knob and slowly opened it. What I was seeing right now made my heart accelerate.
It was the boy from my second period.
"Hello," he took off his hat to reveal red slicked back hair, I stepped aside to let him in, "I'm sorry I had to barge in here like this, I just had to meet you in person."
And, what does he mean by that?
I didn't say anything, I walked over to the couch and sat down, "what do you mean?" My voice was quite.
"Mr. Martin told me all about you," the boy said, "you seem to be really smart."
"And I am," I hissed under my breath as the memories flooded my head again, "and I was bullied for it."
"Pardon?" The young man asked.
"Its nothing," I told him, "by the way, you forgot to tell me your name?"
"John," he said, "John F.Kennedy, but everybody calls me Jack."
Look, this is what I don't get, when we were in class he looked all sad and lonely, but now, he's all happy and cheerful. Whats going on right now.
And then this happened, he walked over and took a seat beside me on the couch, he leans closer until his head touches my shoulder, to me it was very awkward.
And I couldn't do anything about it.
