Felix had dozed off before Changbin's words reached his ears, into a dreamless oblivion, for what seemed like seconds but was in fact hours, and awoke hungover, the inner surface of his skull pulsing like a single, giant nerve being chewed on by some ruminant animal. His head felt like elephants were doing the meringue on his cerebellum. He dreaded the opening of his own eyes, because he could feel someone's hand draped over his stomach, and the soft breathing of another human being beside of him. At least, he hoped it was human, because if he were to find that he'd crawled into bed with an alien during a night of drinking...Well, that's just to say he wouldn't have been pleased.
The lovely effects of alcohol were quite far gone and only the nasty ones were left; the horrible taste in his mouth, the splitting ache in the brow, and the sheer impotence of not being able to clarify his own thoughts. However, the one thing that was certain was that the Australian was very much so uncertain about everything happening around him.
Who's hand even is this? The blonde questioned, internally groaning when he found that even thinking was a laboring task in his current state.
Just praying that his clothes were still on his body, Felix forced his own eyelids to part, only to find that the arms around his waist most certainly weren't that of an alien, and they also weren't female, and they also weren't unfamiliar.
Felix took in a sharp breath, because deep inside of himself, he knew what he was going to see when his eyes drifted upward. He knew who he was going to see lying beside of him, but he didn't want to see him. The Australian could now feel his heart pumping roughly in his chest, and he knew that Changbin could feel it too, because their chests were tightly pressed together. The younger boy swallowed, forcing his own saliva down his throat. His eyes drew upward, slowly, and he knew deep down that he was only prolonging the inevitable discovery of having the raven haired boy's hands around his body; but he didn't care. He was going to be stuck in his blissful ignorance for as long as he possibly could.
But, too soon for his liking, his eyes met Changbin's, and the older boy blinked twice.
"...headache?" He asked in a quiet voice, because he assumed that Felix was now feeling the effects of a night of underage drinking.
"...mhm," the Australian mumbled in reply, not sure whether he should try and pull away from the older boy or not.
"Stay here, then," Changbin said, pulling his body away from Felix's, so the younger boy didn't have to make that decision for himself.
"I'll go get a pain killer and a glass of water. Do you need anything else while I'm up?"
"...no thank you," the blonde mumbled back, bringing his hand up to rub the side of his face.
"You sure? I could make you some oatmeal or something," the raven haired boy offered kindly.
"...I really don't think I could stomach anything right now," Felix answered.
"Okay then," the older boy nodded in understanding, "I'll be back in a minute."
Exiting the room, Changbin sunk his teeth into his bottom lip in anxiousness. He couldn't tell if Felix was acting weird because he'd heard him say that he loved him last night, even though he was pretty damn sure that the Australian was out like a light when he'd confessed. It was either that he knew, or he was just dealing with the effects of a massive hangover, and as badly as it felt for Changbin to wish pain upon Felix; he really hoped that the latter was the correct answer.
"Pain killers, pain killers, pain killers," the raven haired boy repeated those two words as he looked through his medicine cabinet.
"Congestion reliever, cough syrup, cold and flu medicine..."
