After yet another long communications class, Bailey stood quickly when the bell went; throwing her bag on her back. She moved to check her compliment bag for the first time in a long time, rolling her eyes at the amount of notes inside. She pulled a few out, reading them over before she tucked them away into her pocket; leaving the rest to wallow away in the brown paper bag.
'Anything good?' Zach asked her.
'I think some people seem to forget that it's a compliment bag and not a hate bag,' She shrugged; 'Did you get my note?'
'Always.'
She patted his chest as she passed him, propping herself up on her toes to give his cheek a quick kiss before she left. She unfolded one last one for the sake of it, rolling her eyes as she looked over the campaign poster for Courtney.
'Really, Courtney?' She asked.
'Yes,' The girl replied.
She shrugged, 'Smart. I'd do it.'
Courtney smiled at her, glad someone agreed with her after being spoken to by Skye a few days before. Bailey linked her fingers through Zach's, pulling him toward the door; though he pulled back, peeking back in the door. She cocked a brow at him behind his back, shaking her head as she released his hand and started up the hall; jumping onto Monty's back when she found him. But she was quick to slide off again when a commotion sounded behind them, her eyes quickly falling upon Zach as the entire hall fell silent.
'Why me? Why me, Zach?' Hannah yelled up the hall, her face stricken with desperate pleas.
The boy turned to look at her for a second before he continued up the hall, passing Bailey and Monty with his head low.
'What a fucking psycho,' He muttered.
She nodded as she rounded him, walking quickly after her best friend. It didn't take her long to catch up to him, gripping his forearm in her hand as she pulled him to a stop; the court yard quiet again.
'What was that?' She asked.
'Nothing,' He muttered.
'It didn't look like nothing. Why is she saying shit like that?'
Zach shook his head defiantly, looking out toward the carpark for a second before he sighed.
'Don't worry about it,' He stated.
'Seriously?' She snapped.
'It's nothing, Bay. I did something stupid and petty and it doesn't matter.'
'If you did something to hurt her, you better apologise, Zee. I've seen the way you look at her, and if you want a chance with her, you gotta grow a pair and man up.'
