Bailey sat in the back of the Matthews shared Charger, singing along to song on the radio. Alex and Kat sat either side of her, Drew and Jeff in the front singing with her. They were headed down the coast for the weekend, the Matthews' parents meeting them there in their other car. It was their annual holiday, and this time they were bringing the two members of their group along.
'Yo, so, sleeping arrangements,' Drew exclaimed; 'Jeff and Bay, obviously. Then me and Alex, unless Kat you want to share with me.'
'Nah, I'll keep my room to myself,' Kat chuckled.
'Alright. Looks like you're with me, Alex.'
'That's cool,' The blonde boy replied.
'Bay, Jeff. You good?'
Jeff looked over his shoulder at his girlfriend, 'Yeh.'
'Yeh,' Bailey added with a smile toward her boyfriend.
'Good. We are set,' Drew cheered.
'How much longer?'
'We're here.'
The youngest Matthews looked out the window with a grin, her eyes coming to settle on the bright beige sand of the beach; the blue water washing up against it.
'Pull over,' She called.
'What? why?' Drew asked.
'Cause I want to go swimming.'
She grinned at her brother as he looked into the rear view mirror, his own grin meeting his eyes. The car slowed to a stop at the side of the road, the engine falling silent. Drew and Jeff were the first to scramble out of the car, Bailey following behind quickly after; leaving the remaining two to find their own way out of the car. They stripped down as they ran down the beach, the boys in their board shorts and Bailey in her blue bikini; racing into the water.
Jeff picked his girlfriend up by her waist, throwing her over his shoulder before he dove into the waves. Her squeal disappeared beneath the water, before it sounded again when she broke the surface. She splashed Jeff before jumping on her brother's back, pushing him under the water before he threw her back. She turned and waved Alex and Kat into the water as they slowly walked down the sand, stripping as they went.
'Kat, Alex, come on!' She called.
Bailey swam out deeper into the water, ducking under the waves and constantly wiping her hair out of her face. She stood once it reached her shoulder, looking out at the horizon with a smile on her face. Her head spun to the side when someone swam up beside her, Drew wrapping an arm around her shoulders; kissing the side of her head. She leant into his side, wrapping an arm around his back; their friends laughter sounding from behind them.
