Stephen Strange was not a patient man. He wanted results and he wanted them immediately. So, when he struggles to learn the mystic arts like he has never struggled before he is understandably frustrated and angry. Until an odd woman teaches him a lesson in patience and self discovery.
Nadira Wolfe is a woman that knows there is no place for her in the wider world. She is not fully human and both of her species look at her in confusion. She has found a haven of understanding in Kamar-Taj with its sorcerers, but her magic is different than theirs. She spends her days researching different kinds of magic and helping the students. Until a broken man makes his way to Kamar-Taj and even though he can be annoying Nadira is drawn to teach him.
Nadira and Stephen are on separate journeys until their paths collide due to a series of events that no one predicted. Stephen is still learning and growing into who he is meant to be and Nadira is trying to accept who she already is.
