Let's talk about Manga

Typically, I would have started with Anime as the next subject but I decided to do manga first. Despite knowing and watching Anime since I was 7 and only starting to read Manga 3 years ago, I want to start with Manga because I feel more passion towards mangas compared to anime nowadays. We can have a discussion about which one is better sometime in the future but in short, Mangas is much more vast and the authors have more balls to show things that could be considered very controversial and I like stories which take those risks.

For now, let's just talk about why I love manga and what kinds of mangas do I really like.

Just in case if there's someone who doesn't know what a manga is, according to urban dictionary, Manga is a style of Japanese comics and graphic novels, typically aimed at adults as well as children.

To be very honest, I use to dislike manga. I didn't get the appeal of it and I was also a lazy reader (Very ironic of me). I was an anime-only till the age of 15 and the very first manga I began to willingly read was Vinland Saga, an incredible manga which has influenced me a lot, I would say that it has by far one of the best character developments I've ever seen in storytelling. I'm going to say this now to anyone who hasn't read it but are curious to do so, this manga is not really about action as it may have seemed during the initial 4-5 volumes. It's an adventure and a journey of redemption, and a great one at that.

Since then, I have been scurrying around for other mangas that I haven't read before and I have only scratched the surface

I'm gonna just start listing off some of the mangas I've read that I would recommend everyone else to read as well, unfortunately, I am too lazy to give descriptions of each manga so I rely on the appeal of the name and my own recommendation to allow you to check it out.

- Berserk: (Dark fantasy, Adult, action, psychological, adventure) Obviously

- Berserk: (Dark fantasy, Adult, action, psychological, adventure) Obviously. It doesn't matter if you watched the anime, it doesn't matter if it was the 90s version or the 2016 version. YOU HAVE TO READ BERSERK MANGA! I'm gonna sound insulting and arrogant right now but if you die without ever even reading ONE chapter of Berserk then you're going to hell for sure.
