The Brunette hastily ran to her friend in the doorway and dragged her to her bed, quickly sitting them both down before looking around for a trace of someone else. After accepting they were in fact the only ones in the room Hermione turned to face her friend before sighing sharply
"Please Ginny, you can't tell anyone about this" she said, but not a trace of urgency was in her voice, instead She spoke calmly but Ginny could clearly tell her best friend was panicking as she looked into her cinnamon eyes
"I promise Hermione... I'm just shocked that I was actually right. I didn't really think it possible that War hero Hermione Granger was actually in love with Ex-death eater Draco Malfoy. It was always just a thought in the back of my mind" Ginny smiled at her friend showing her reassurance, sighing once again Hermione hugged her friend before pulling away and standing up
"I hope you don't mind Ginny but I was actually about to get dressed and go to the library before the ceremony"
Standing up herself Ginny smiled at her friend
"Hermione Granger, I honestly think you should Marry that library"
Chuckling Hermione hugged her friend and then made her way over
To the bathroom to get changed

An hour had passed and Hermione Granger was still in the library, she only had about 20 minutes left before the ceremony but she didn't care, she was so engrossed in a new potions book she had found that she'd barely noticed the time ticking away.
It was only when someone gently tapped her on the shoulder that she looked away from the book, turning around she was shocked to see a tall blonde sheepishly standing there
"Hi Granger"
His pale grey eyes made no effort to look at her, almost as if he was embarrassed to look. Hermione on the other hand couldn't stop looking at him as her curiosity wanted to know what made the usually cocky and arrogant ferret act this way
"Malfoy" Hermione whispered, standing up not wanting him to look down at her
"Listen Gra-Hermione" finally looking at her she could see he had so much sorrow and guilt in his eyes she barely thought about the fact he used her first name
"I want to say I'm sorry, I'm sorry for everything that I did to you. I really didn't mean any of it, I was just so scared of disappointing my father and his hatred for muggle borns that I didn't think of how much effect my words actually had. Although now he's gone and I don't have to worry about his thoughts I can finally let my true feelings out. Hermione Granger as much as you may hate me for everything I've done I want you to know that I care for you and I hate myself for what I did to you and your friends. I guess I've always sort of liked you but I couldn't show it. I tried to but as the years went on it got harder. I hope you can forgive me and everything I've done..." he finally finished, Hermione barely knew what to say. Had Draco Malfoy just apologised. Did he just say he cared for her?
"You....like me?" She said, dazed-like and confused not quite sure that she's hearing him correctly, He chuckles, a genuine one, something Hermione never thought she'd hear him do. Especially around her
"Hermione Granger, you give her an apology speech and she picks out the most unimportant piece of information" he chuckles again before staining a smile on his face, making the cinnamon eyed girl smile and blush as she darted her eyes to look at the grey stoned floor, he hesitantly put his warm pale hands under her chin and gently lifted her face to look at him. Their eyes linked and showed longing and pain but beneath it all their eyes showed passion for one another, the pain was over and they were here. Together.
Draco moved his hand from her chin to cup her face, still furiously blushing Hermione smiled at the boy in front of her. This felt like a dream she never wanted to wake up from, the type you go back to sleep for in hope of continuing it.
The longing in their eyes could be seen from afar, but the world wasn't around them anymore. It was just him and her, Draco and Hermione, the space between them was slowly getting shorter until they were just a centimetre apart. The smell of spearmint and green apples took over Hermiones nose and she loved it
"Hermione?"
The two jumped and looked to their side, Draco dropping his hand when he saw the boy in front of them
"Harry-" Hermione started but was quickly cut off by her furious friend
"No Hermione, don't 'harry' me. Is this why you wanted to come to the library? Not because you needed to catch up, no, you wanted to just come and see Malfoy! How long has this been going on huh?! How long have you been hiding behind our backs to see this coward?!" He continued to shout, ignoring the people hushing him and angry looks from the librarian. Tears were threatening Hermione's eyes and Harry could tell, his posture completely changing he bit his lip
"I'm sorry Hermione. Please don't cry" Harry stepped forwards, making his way to his bushy haired friend and hugged her, timid at first Hermione gave in and hugged her friend back leaving Draco to awkwardly stand next to them, looking at the floor.
Pulling back harry resumed
"I'm really am sorry"
"It's okay Harry, it's fine"
"Can we go though? We need to get to the ceremony" Harry asked, without even giving her time to respond he dragged the girl out the library until there wasn't any sight of Draco
