The rain taps lightly on the pane.
The engine hums a soothing tune.
The speakers play Eleanor Rigby.
Eleanor snores in the backseat.
I sigh, a deep sigh, thinking of all the other lonely people, where do we all come from.

The baby asks for a bagel.
The boy asks for a bagel.
Eleanor asks for a bagel.
Where do all these requests come from?

The thunder crashed in the background.
Mamama comes from the baby's lips.
The boy complains that we still haven't left.
Eleanor screams for her Minnie cup.

The baby giggles as she smears the cream cheese on the chair.
The boy asks about his Pokemon cards.
Eleanor screams again, but this time for her tap shoes.

I wonder how so much noise can exist within a flash, with so many people around, but I still feel overwhelmed and alone.
Someday, I will yearn for their need for me.
Remember that you are their center.
They need you and you need them, for ever now, forever more.
