As soon I Dervin pull up in front a big light blue house. Shelly started to jump up and down in my lap hitting the glass with her small fists. I glance at Dervin who was staring at Shelly Jumping up and down. “Some is excited” he said pulling the key out of the injection, I didn’t answer I just gave him a nervous smile. “You look nervous” he spoke quietly “I am” I confessed glancing through the window “its ok, I should be the one be nervous I haven’t seen her since I was five, I don’t remember what she’s like” he said. But I just glance at Shelly happy face.

“Nora” he called to me as turn to him. “It’s going to be ok” he said giving me a small peck on my lips.

“Let’s go” he said opening the car door. While I open mine and he came and take Shelly from me. We walked up to the big house gate and push it open and walk up to the big patio. The lawn was very big and green. I glance at the tree house in the far corner of the yard it was painted pink. I guess it belong to Dervin aunt daughter.

As soon as we step on the patio the door swing open to reveal a cute guy with Black toss hair in a blue faded jeans and blue t-shirt. We watch a big smile appear on his face as we came to a stop. “Hi, I’m Paul-Dean,” he said quickly admiring the both of us.

“Hello” we said in union as Shelly continue to move about in Dervin’s arm

“You must be Dervin” he said

“Yes” Dervin reply “Come on it” he spoke too us.

“I know you might not remember me but we were best bud till your mom decided that I was influencing you too much” he said with a giggle.

“Who’s this beautiful Thang!” he said in a ghetto tone

“She’s my Girlfriend Sonora” Dervin answered

“Man you really got taste, I love her” he said admiring me curiously

“You better hold on tight to her, My Brother is a womanizer” he said almost in a whisper.

“Stop talking about me” we heard from behind us. We turn to see a guy about Dervin height, so handsome and look a bit quirky. Damn! He was cute.

“I was just warning Dervin to hold on tight to this beautiful girl because you like to take away women from guys” said Paul dean

“He’s a Player” he whispered to us, I could tell just by the way he look, full of him.

“I’m not” he defended himself

“Then who’s that?” he asked pointing to olive skin girl with black hair walking up to us.

“She’s a friend” he said giving us a sneaky smile

“Alton I’m ready” she spoke in a sweet tone holding on to his arm

“Ok sweetheart I’ll be there in a minute” he said

“Ok you better hurry up before I change my mind she said touching her breast and walk back out. Then He turn to us a gave us small grin.

“See” said Paul dean

“Come on lets go and sit in the living room till mom gets from work” said Paul dean grabbing my hand to walk with me to the living room as I gave Dervin a quick smile. We arrive into a big spacious living room. The only word that came to mind when I saw the room was “Rich”. The room was so elegant and well organizes.

“I’ll be back I’m going to phone my mother” said Paul Dean. I quickly sat down on the red sofa and Dervin sat beside me. “Paul is a nice kid” I said “Yea” he answered. I glance around into the room taking in some photographs from the distant were I was sitting. I glance at Dervin to see Shelly Cuddling in his arms and moving up and down. “I think she’s getting restless, maybe she’s hungry” I said

“We left her bag in the car” I said

“Yea I forgot to take it out” said Dervin trying to place Shelly on her stomach in his lap but she kept moving. “Let me go for the back” I said

“Ok, here is the key” he said

“Ok I’ll be back” I said running out of the room to the front door.

“Where you going” shouted Paul from the top of the stairs

“I’m going to get Shelly’s bag” I answered

“Can I help?” he asks

“It’s ok, It’s just one bag” I said about to walk out

“I want to help” he said running down the stairs with a stretch pad and pencil

“Ok” I said as we both went out the house to the car.

“Sonora” he said

“Yes” I answered as we reach the car. “Have you and Dervin ever kissed?” he asked. I almost hit my head on the car ceiling hearing the question this little kid was asking me.

“What do you know about kiss?” I spoke with a giggle as I close the car door.

“I kiss my girlfriend at school today, she’s my best friend” he said as we walk up stairs to the door where he hears Shelly crying.

“Come on Shelly is hungry’ I said walking quickly into the house to the living room.

“I quickly drop the bag on the sofa then pulled out her bottle and start to shake it up. “I’ll feed her” I said taking Shelly from him. As her crying tone down after I place the bottle in her mouth.

“Paul, Alton how many have I told you guys not to leave the front door open” shouted a woman voice

“Sorry Mom” said Paul looking up at his mother who just walks in with

“Hi Dervin” she shouted coming over to hug him

“Hi Aunt Laura” said Dervin

“You must be Sonora” she said smiling at me

“Yes” I reply with a smile “She’s cute” she said again

“Oh, My little Shelly doing” she said touching Shelly stomach who smile with the bottle in her mouth.

“Mom!” shouted a girl voice

“I’m in here sweetie” she shouted

“Dad won’t let me spend the evening with Alex and Sarah” she cried

“Sorry sweetie, but we have guest” said Laura kneeling down to her level

“Introduce yourself to your cousin and his friend” said Laura as we watch the little girl putting the stuff toy in her mouth

“My name is Devina, I’m Six years old” she said slowly

“Nice to meet you” I said as Dervin wave to her

“I see you met my little artist her” she said looking at Paul

“Yea he’s sweet” I said smiling at Laura

“Honey!” she called out

“Yes sweetie, Come on in her and meet Dervin and his girlfriend” she shouted.  I sat down with Shelly cuddling in my arms ready to fall asleep. The atmosphere in the room was cool and warm. Within a minute we saw a handsome man walk in. and place a soft kiss on Laura’s cheek. But he had this sad look on his face. Laura most of recognize it too a turn to him.

“What’s wrong” I heard her ask him

“It’s about Dervin Mom” he said softly

“What about my mother?” Dervin snap out quickly staring at the couple with sad expressions on their faces.
