Dilton hasn’t been himself since Cheryl broke up with him it petrified him to the core with alarm shock in his eyes. He still remembers it like yesterday but it got inscrutable day by day but it discomfits in his stone heart. He clenched the picture of Cheryl’s in his limb he guided in disgust touching the picture with so much misery in his eyes punched him like dust in the dark. All he wants is not to feel the pain he went through. He left the basement to enters his room where he has all the pictures of Cheryl displayed on the wall. He touched one of them where he and Cheryl are happy and touched the one where she and Toni are smiling at each other. It angered him in his soul. She is his obsession and she will forever be his forever if it means taking Toni out of the picture. “We will see again Cheryl.”
Dilton waited for Cheryl it was cold lively winter snowing frost it was dusk and shallowly cold. He sat on the bench wearing his coat. When he looked up, he saw Cheryl beside him with a worried look in her eyes.
“What’s a wrong babe?” He asked her holding her. She pulled away from him not making contact.
“I’m so sorry Dilton,” caressing his dimples. Her worries terrified him.
Dalton looked confused with what Cheryl was saying. “I’m in love with someone else I’m sorry Dilton. That when his world crumbled to pieces hearing those words from Cheryl.
Dilton has been keeping tabs on Cheryl ever since he makes sure he keeps his distance to avoid suspicion. He has been over a month now he spying led him to Toni who Cheryl been seeing for a month. It followed them ever they go like a hunter. The day Betty was with Sweetpea alone he was there watching Cheryl, Toni and Veronica. When he noticed Sweetpea left the penthouse that what ditch out a plan to make Toni paid for taking Cheryl. Dilton did the most stupid which he will regret for the rest of his life. The guilt was still there till date but at some point, it vanishes in the air. That night he fired a gun thinking he aimed was on Toni but realized he aimed at all of them. But was lucky it was not serious.
That same night haunts him like a skeleton in the closet but wishes to unleash that he created this new world of fantasy from him. To heal him from the pain.
Cheryl becomes his obsession he couldn’t stop what he would do next all he could do is keep a distance. When he found out about Jason, he couldn’t bear to see Cheryl cry. All he wanted to hugged her. But he couldn’t any longer. He was no longer part of her. Just a ghost in the shell, an outcast like he always been for years.
