35.Kindness is a gift

Last night I cried myself to sleep.
I felt completely defeated and numb with pain. I missed him so much.
The next morning when I woke up I changed into this ^^^^.
I found Bella and Flora sitting on my bed reading what looked like a very sad letter.
"What is it?" I asked as Flora burst out into tears, Bella and I tried to comfort her but it made it worst.
"Bella, can I read it please" I demanded
"I don't think you're going to like it anymore then Flora," She said reluctantly handing over the letter.
Inside it, there was a page of the daily newspaper stapled
I began to read out loud
"At 11:45 last night the notorious killer Tom Riddle raided Hogsmeade and left 32 people dead. Witnesses say that he then simply disappeared when Aurors arrived, where he is now no one knows but all wizards should now be on high alert incase he strikes again" I finished with a whisper, my face was now pale and my hands shaking.
"Emily, how did this happen, why would he do this?" Bella asked softly.
"I may have.... accidentally, broke his heart," I said quietly
"WHAT!" Both Bella and Flora yelled
"What did you do to him!" Flora yelled
"Something that I deeply regret," I said sadly
"Like what?" Bella asked confused
"Slept with Draco......" I said quickly
Flora and Bella were both speechless.
"Oh.my.god!" Bella yelled.
Flora had stopped crying and now looked angry.
"HOW COULD YOU SLEEP WITH DRACO, WHILE YOU WERE DATING MY BROTHER!!!" she screamed
"Flora I'm so sorry, I tried to apologise but...."
"I never want to see you again you slut!!" She yelled before storming out of the room with Bella behind her.
I was still speechless, my best friend just called me a slut and Bella just left with her.
I ran out into the common room and ignored all Draco's calls and Flora's threats, I decided not to go to the great hall so I went to the library where I could be alone....

As I walked past all the rows of books I found a corner next to the restricted section where I sat down and cried softly into my hands.
About ten minutes later I felt someone tap me on the shoulder
"Go away Draco," I said in between sobs
"It's not Draco," The female voice said kindly.
I wiped the tears away from my eyes and looked up slowly
I gasped softly when I saw Hermione crouching next to me with Harry and Ron by her side.
"You guys all made up," I said happily
"Em, what's wrong?" Harry asked
"Nothing I'm fine" I replied trying to cover my red puffy eyes.
"No, you're not fine, you can trust us," Hermione said kindly while Ron gave me a look of sympathy.
I took a deep breath....
"Flora called me a slut," I said before bursting out into tears once more.
"She did what!" Harry gasped shocked
"Why would she say that?" Ron asked as he sat down next to Hermione.
"Because that's what I am! I deserved it!" I cried
"That doesn't mean you're a slut," Harry said softly
"Why don't you tell us exactly what happened" Hermione offered sweetly
"If I told you, you would never want to speak to me again," I said sadly
"I think it would take more than that to keep Harry away," Ron said with a chuckle as Harry slapped him.
I smiled slightly.
"So, I had this boyfriend and I guess to other people he was as evil as they come" I began
"Draco?" Hermione asked
"Worst, he was a little older than me, anyway I accidentally slept with another guy, the same age as me, which made my boyfriend really mad and upset," I said trying to control my tears.
"He went and did something really horrible last night, and he and Flora are really close friends so she was really angry with me" I finished.
"Harry, Ron, would you mind if I talked to Emily alone for a second," Hermione said softly
"Why can't we hear?" Ron asked
"Girl stuff Ron," Hermione said with a smirk.
They both bolted away and Hermione turned to me.
"You were dating Tom Riddle, you slept with Draco and Tom murdered all those people in Hogsmeade which made Flora upset because she is his sister," She said calmly
"How did you know," I asked astonished
"I can figure things like this out," She said kindly
"Do you have any advice?" I asked
"Find Tom, apologise and stop him murdering people," She said knowingly.
"How do I find him?" I asked
"I'm going to help you," she said with a smile.
"Really?" I asked shocked
"Yep, with your braveness and my brains we will find him in no time," She said
"Hermione there's something else you should know," I said realizing something
"You're a death eater" She said with a whisper so no one heard.
"What, who do you know these things!" I gasped
"You have been covering your left arm all the time," She said sadly
"Oh"
"I have a charm that can cover it up you know" She positively
"Why are you being so nice to me?" I asked
"You seem like a nice person on the inside," She said with a smile.
"Thank you Hermione," I said happily
"It's ok, now let's get to class" She replied helping me up and calling the boys back.
"What did you mean by girl stuff?" Harry asked
"That's for us to know and you to find out," Me and Hermione said at the same time while laughing.
