Count the freckles on my skin
they were always an odd number
you told me that for years.
Lying here with you
intoxicated and unfettered,
while my body is softly
being hugged
by the glimmering moonlight.
Drown me in your
poisonous kisses,
it makes me shiver
even though I'm running
a fever from your
sinful touch.
Everything that
stood between us
was your sickness,
yet you always said
you were fine.
