I woke up, not fully sure where I was, I remembered going into Zander's room to read cause I felt bad leaving him all alone but, what happened, did I fall asleep, I don't recall putting a blanket on. Occasionally that happens to me, I fall asleep during something boring without realizing it, and sometimes I blank out and stare into space, I never recall anything that happens during that time. I glanced around the room trying to see if Zander was there or if he had went back down stairs to the Inn's kitchen.
As I started to get up, I realized there was something on my lap, it was Zander. I guess he felt bad about waking me up or moving me, so he left me sitting on his bed, and went to sleep curled up at one end. He must have moved in his sleep cause his head was on my lap, and he was spread out like a fan. I tried to leave, I slid my legs out from under the blanket while holding his head up, I put is blanket back on top of him and started to walk away. Zander grabbed my arm tight, I yelped quietly and turned back, only to notice that he was still asleep. "Please Mom don't go..." he whispered, and a single tear ran down his face. I sat down next to him and gave his head a pat. He yanked me into a tight grasp and was almost yelling "Mom its not safe..." I turned to him and said "don't worry, I won't be leaving anytime soon, trust me." Zander relaxed his grip a little, but it didn't really help me escape his grasp. His trauma was on the next level bad, how he put up with it, for as long as he did, was amazing. I struggled to leave his grasp for half an hour before I gave up and passed out from exhaustion.
Zander had woken up before me, I know this because when he realized what he did he pushed me off the bed out of shock. He started apologizing like crazy, that he didn't mean to, and it was an accident. I told him not to worry, that it was understandable and also that I didn't have any trouble sleeping. His cheeks were flushed showing that he was embarrassed by his actions, "I'm sorry, I should have woken you up in the first place, to let you get some more sleep in your bed." "It's fine!" I continued to argue as we went done to meet Rosalind. "Honestly, you were having nightmares, I stayed to try and lessen their intensity which seemed to work." Rosalind was confused, mainly about what we were discussing but she brushed it off and got us back on an important, the keys.
"Um, guys what's the next key? We need 2 more the bow and the spear, we already have 3 so which one is first?" I was about to answer that when soldiers, 10 of them came in, one holding a Inn with a poster. "Have you seen this girl?" The same soldier with the poster, asked a waitress, she pointed in our direction, luckily right before he turned around I had put my hood on. However, my luck was terrible and liked to contradict itself, so all the guards came and surrounded us, this wasn't gonna end well.
