"Sara?", James yells, stumbling around. He stops cold when he sees a pair of jeans stranded on the ground. He runs and shakily drops down to his knees, and grabs the jeans. "No, no," he sobs, then picks up a shirt. "No, please God." He stands up and collects all the clothes strewn around, and jogs back to his car.
His hands trembling terribly, he heads to the police station and barges in, clothes in hands. He drops them in the reception table.
"M-my girlfriend is lost. Th-these a-are her clothes." The receptionist looks up from her computer, and eyes the clothes.
"What?", she asks. Tears start to stream down his cheeks and he hangs his head.
"S-Sara...she's gone. These are her clothes," he says, mumbling. The receptionist stands up and calls a couple of police officers, but James has deflated. He knows they won't bother to look for her, and even if they did, they wouldn't find her.
After hours of retelling then the story, James leaves and sits in his car, motionless. He pulls his phone out and starts to look at all the pictures he has with Sara, her emerald eyes staring at him. Angrily, he throws his phone off to the side.
Just as he is about to starts the car, a sharp knock comes from his left. He looks through the window and his heart jumps. That guy from the forest stands there, this time fully dressed. James gets out of the car and stands before the guy, fuming. He can feel his face turning red.
"You took her, didn't you?", he screams, and the guy casually crosses his arms and leans against his door.
"Yes. She refused to listen to my warnings, and so, I took her. She's gone forever now. I wanted to-", he stops talking and blocks the punch James throws at him. "Just don't. I want to tell you where she is."
James blinks, flabbergasted, then hastily pulls his arm back. He waits, apprehension causing his heart to beat rapidly. The guy scans him, then starts to talk.
"We took Kyle because he's ours. His mother is one of us, and she illegally came here to escape us, but you can't escape. So when we located her, she confessed that she had a child with a human, so we came and took him. We took Sara because she's an annoying little butch that wouldn't stop looking. Simple. Now, you...you are a problem now. Even more than Sara. And you'll have to come with me now.
