Sitting here all alone, a room either lit or dim
Wondering which view of the situation is right
Sitting here thinking why they argue
Sitting here thinking why they hate each other
Sitting here wondering, why can't you just make up

"No I don't want to do this anymore"

Wondering what went wrong
Wondering what to do right
Wondering how to get over it
Wondering if they might... just might get over it

"Because the fact of the matter is"

Don't they realise we can hear them?
They speak over each other, their words only bitter
Hearing their overbearing tones and words

"The problem is your shit attitude"

Do you feel good when you've talked over the other
Does it feel righteous to speak shit about the other
To insult each other so much it's too late to apologise

"So now your tryna switch it onto me?!"

They stress about each other and us
No idea how to communicate or understand
Are they trying to understand and make it better
Or are they waiting for the next fight to hit them with a K.O

"You lied to me. You lied straight to my face"

I convince myself that they love each other
That even if the scars are long and deep
That even if they don't share a bed
They do love each other

"Stop"

It's easier to convince myself
Than it is to convince my parents
So they do love each other
Despite not showing it
