The receipt I found
After we parted ways
Made me frown in reminiscence
That day especially
The day we got drinks at the pub
And the night was young
And our hearts even younger
All the moments
How our hands touched
Our lips grazing softly
A touch tender and sure
Your hands traced my body
Sneaking away from the crowd
A voice sweeter than apple pie
Whispering sweet tunes of love
Into my ear
In a hotel room dimly lit
Your touch reaching all around
The spots I starved the most
Our legs caressing upon one another
The sheets slipping off the bed
The intenseness of your gaze
Made me suffocate but
I loved the pain you gave me
In the midst of the love
Was a longing in my eyes
Leading love to my heart
Through the veins of my body
What pumped through my heart
Was not love but a longing
The night continued with sparks
Then the sun rose
Shining through the curtains
I rubbed my eyes waking up
To the feeling of you next to me
But when I turned over
You had gone
My heart froze over but
I knew
What we just had
Was a one night stand
