Water

520 43 22

There are oceans growing between us;
I never even wanted to set sail for the sea
Was it something that I did?
Are you changing all your pieces because of me?

I'll put my heart on my sleeve,
while we sail apart, gauging distances on our own
I only wish we had a map
so that we won't be drifting off alone.

The waters are changing us and it's all around
The skies drench us with adversity
Your sails left unseen and without a sound -
it's not long before we're lost at sea

The waters become mirrors
The mirrors shatter me
I leave my mind to wander
to a Place where you would be.
