After Brent gave me the details as to where he was taking me and left, I went downstairs.
"That wasn't too bad, was it, Ally?" my mom asked as she cleaned up leftover plates and cups.
"No, it wasn't that bad," I replied, trying to hide my growing smile. "How was your meeting?"
"It was good, thanks for asking. What did you two do?"
"We just talked about school and...stuff"
"Oh ok."

After dinner I went up to my room to get ready for school the next day. Winter break was coming to an end, and soon all the students would have to return to school, unable to wait for spring break.
Five minutes into getting ready for school, I decided to call Brent. I pulled out my phone and searched for his number. That's when I realized he had never given it to me. Great, I thought, How the heck am I supposed to call him about tomorrow?
I heard a small knock on the door. "Ally?" my moms head popped in the room. "I think you should turn your light off. It's almost 11:00."
"Ok," I replied. "Goodnight."
