Anne woke up to the sound birds chirping, she sat up rubbing her eyes.
She reached for her phone and checked the time, 6:56 AM she sighed and got out of bed,
She walked over to the window and looked out across Green Gables, her home.
Looking over to the white way of delight and suddenly had an idea,
Quickly she typed a text to Diana,
Anne, Diana, meet me at the gate at 20 past 7!
Diana, What?! Why?! Anne its hardly 7:00!
Anne, just be there please!
With that Anne dropped her phone onto her bed and rushed over to her closet to pick out some clothes.
In the end she settled on some light green/blue shorts and a light blue tee shirt that had the word dreamer printed on it in silver lettering.
Anne went over to her vanity and looked in the mirror at her messy red hair and freckles, she sighed.
She grabbed her hair brush and started to brush out the tangles and tie it into two braids.
Once she was done with her hair she checked her phone for the time, 7:15!
Anne jumped up and hurried down stairs, grabbing a piece of toast as she went, she sent a quick text
Tuesday and Wednesday went without much event, Gilbert avoided Anne in detention, he sent her zero notes and sat at the opposite side of the classroom, detention without Gilbert's chit chat became unbearably boring for
Anne.
"Oh Diana," Anne said in a woeful voice "I know I said I hate Gilbert but its so boring in detention when he wont say a single word to me"
Diana thaught for a moment.
They were both at Dianas house in her bedroom after school on Thursday,
"Well... you did tell him you hated him, I'm pretty sure your the first girl he's talked to that hasn't fallen to their knees at his feet" Diana said matter of factly "im sure you just brused his ego thats all" she continued.
"Right" Anne said, finding little comfort in her words,
"And plus, it wont matter because soon you wont have to go detention." Diana added
Anne smiled, despite the growing sadness in her chest.
"Diana! Anne!" Diana's mother called from outside Diana's room, "Mathew is here to pick you up Anne!"
Anne jumped to her feet, grabbing her bag, " good bye dear Diana, I will see you tomorrow at the gate like alwase?"
Diana nodded and waved goodbye to her best friend.
"And he wont even look at me!" Anne complained to Mathew on the way back to their house,
"Oh dear" Mathew replied,
Mathew was a true kindred spirit according to Anne, Mathew and Marilla had adopted her hoping for a boy, but they got her, they love her nonetheless and treated her like their own daughter.
"Why oh why is everything so COMPLICATED" Anne exclaimed
"Well now... i dont know" Mathew replied with a twinkle in his eyes.
Authors notes: i know this is short but it's more just to join chapter 3 and 5 together ;) also ik this 1 was prob kinda boring so just bare with me a lil ok?
