Faith
I don't know what's wrong with Will. He didn't grow up unloved or unspoiled. We were always there for him, but he pushed us all away. After a while, we gave up trying to reach him. Maybe that's where we went wrong.
At the time Courtney had been struck down by a terrible sickness. Henry locked himself up in his room after he heard what happened to his brother. I remember Charles knocking at his door, but he refused to open it.
He was never the same after that. Henry tried so hard to fix things, to make them right. He thought it was his fault Will fell in the river, and so he bore the weight of the feud between them. Courtney got better after Will left, and Henry grew to fill the hole he left behind.
But I worry about him. He tries so hard to fix things that sometimes he doesn't notice when he's broken himself.
