Y/n POV:
After our trip down to Monterey, we headed home and had to go back to school. But ever since Michael's incident at the aquarium, he had been acting different. He wouldn't open up to me about what's wrong. He would also call me at all hours of the night crying, and when I'd come over, we wouldn't talk. We'd lay in bed and sleep.
About 1 week later:
Michael hasn't been to school in about three days. I'm in my boring history class and I want to text Michael and tell him to meet me at the classroom because he's finally back at school, but if I get caught with my phone, I'll get detention. We're watching a movie called "Natives of America". I double check that my teacher isn't looking and notice he's fallen asleep at his desk, while the others are watching the movie. I sneak my phone out of my pocket and open my text chat with Michael and say,
"Hey, meet me in the classroom in five."
"Okay, I'll be there." He replies.
I take the bathroom pass and manage to get out of the class. I walk through the hallway and up the stairs to our meeting spot. I double check that no one's around and open the door to the classroom. Michael is sitting there on the teachers desk once again. He looks up quickly and notices that it's me. He gets up fast and kisses me hard.
"I've missed you so much." He tells me kissing my neck.
"I've missed you too, Michael." I say kissing him back.
I notice he has stubble forming on his cheeks, which made him look more like a man rather than a teenage boy. I ask him where the hell he's been and he tells me that he took time off of school because it's too stressful for him right now. I hug him and tell him that it's okay.
"Would you mind if I come over after school today?" I ask him.
"Yeah definitely. I've wanted you to come over so badly, but keep in mind my rooms kind of a mess right now." He tells me biting at the corner of his lip.
I kiss him again but longer this time.
"I've missed you so much." I say between kisses.
"I know, I've missed you too, but I have a question. I've been wanting to do this thing for a while now, because I want something about me to change." He tells me.
***
I walk up to his house and proceed to knock on his door. It's been so long that I've almost forgot what that knock feels like. When I hear him running down the stairs, I fill up with excitement. He opens the store, and the first thing I notice besides him standing in front of me, is his hair. It still had the same shape to it, but it was dyed a light brown besides his normal, golden blonde. It was absolutely beautiful on him, making his blue eyes burst. I look up at him and see him smiling with an expression on his face asking, "Whatcha think?"
"I absolutely love it!" I say with a bright smile on my face.
"Really? You're not just saying that?"
"Yes, really. Michael, brown hair, blonde hair, even red hair, I'll love you madly no matter what."
"Well, I was thinking about purple." He says.
