Knuckles, who was having another rage episode, was complaining that he lossed the master emerald, once again. " Probably that Stupid bat has stolen the master emerald again..." He muttered under his breath as paced around where the Emerald would be. " Or eggman could have tooken it....the possibilities are endless! " He said as his voice grew louder. " Agh! Once I find the master emerald I will Distroy who took it!!! " Knuckles yelled before punching a piller. He panted in frustration as a voice spoke up. " Umm....hello there " a (F/C) (F/A) spoke up. Knuckles turned his head to where the person spoke. He huffed and crossed his arms with his large hands. " What is it (F/A)? I'm trying to do something important " " like punching stuff in anger and act like every thing is fine in front of a girl? " She said. Knuckles stiffened and Blushed a bit before yelling. " Hey!! " The (F/A) sighed. " I'm (Y/N) the (F/A), and I am an Archeologist " " so? " Knuckles said as he tilted his head. " And I heard you yelling about something called an master emerald, is that correct? " (Y/N) asked. Knuckles sighed and nodded a bit in response. " Yeah...I did...." He replied. " I think I might be able to help....if you let me...." (Y/N) said while rubbing her arm. Knuckles stayed silent for a few moments before Speaking up. " Fine.....I'll let you help.." he sighed before motions the (F/A) up. (Y/N) watched and follows knuckles. (Y/N) then came to a stop when knuckles puts an hand in front of her. In front of then is the location where the master emerald should be. " Hmm...... have you looked anywhere to find shards or anything? " She thought. " I don't need to ' find ' peices of the Master Emerald, it can't leave something behind! " He said. (Y/N) giggled a bit before continuing. " If I know anything about priceless gems, artifacts and all of that, some kind of bit has to be left behind, even the smallest peice can be left. " Knuckles thought for a moment. " Hmm...........well........I guess your mostly right.....but what would the master emerald-" he almost finished as the (F/A) pulled herself out of a bush with a shard of the master emerald. " --leave behind......" He finished before blushing knowing that a girl proved this right. (Y/N) giggled a bit before clearing her throat and blushes slightly. " So..... you can scent emeralds and the master emerald correct? " Knuckles nodded in response as (Y/N) continued. " Do you think you can scent the master Emerald's energy with the shard of it? " She asked. " I'm not so sure but...I'll try " he responded holding out his hand meaning ' give '. (Y/N) handed knuckles the glowing shard as he closed his eyes. (Y/N) watched in curiosity before knuckles opened his eyes again. " So? " (Y/N) asked. " Another peice isn't far from here...but we need to get off of angel island...." He responded before handing the shard back to the (F/A). (Y/N) placed the shard In her bag for safe keeping for now. " Where do you suggest we look first? " (Y/N) asked. " My guess is that another shard is near the forest " he responded. " Alright! Let's go! " " Well,..... the problem is that you can't fly or glide " ( sorry if you're oc fly or glides just go along with it ) " oh....yeah..." (Y/N) chuckled nervously as a blush began to appear on knuckles face. " But....I guess I'll have to carry you...." (Y/N) blushes as well as she was swept off her feet

* Your PROV *

I yelped in surprise as I was swept off of my feet. " Hold on tight...." Knuckles murmured as he held onto me. I nodded a bit in response as I placed my hands around his neck, knuckles then begins to run to the edge. " Wha!-" I yelled in surprise as knuckles jumped off. I closed my eyes tightly waiting for impact but, For some reason I didn't feel like falling.....we were more like gliding across...I opened an eye to notice that knuckles was gliding across the large body of water. " Whoa....." I said in amazement, knuckles chuckled a bit as he looks at me, his eyes studying my figure. " You know (Y/N), I could possibly let you visit, if you promise no funny business " I nodded in response as knuckles continued to talk " how did you even get up to angel island in the first place? " " Tails flew me there a few hours earlier, I come here often to try to find a chaos emerald to study " " well, you know, chaos emeralds are not just on angel island " " really? " " Yeah, there everywhere " I nodded in response as we landed on ground. Knuckles gently puts me down as I looked around " so, where is the next shard? " " Lana has it...." Knuckles sighed, as he felt the energy coming from her house " let's go before she distroys it! " " Ok but...... who's Lana? " " I'll explain later.... follow me...." He said before dashing off, I followed quickly as we were running side by side now. " Why is it important to get the shard from her as soon as possible? " I asked panting " like I said, I'll explain! " Knuckles yelled. I sighed in response and look down as we stopped in front of a house with a hedgehog messing with a chunk of the master emerald " hey! That's mine! " Knuckles yelled. The hedgehog named Lana looks over at us and huffed " I don't see ya name on it knucklehead " " umm.....were looking for the master emerald.... and you have a chunk of it." I said nervously while Lana face palms " you should know by now that if I have a chunk of the master emerald, it means it's broken....." Knuckles blinks a few times before releasing. " What?! How can I be so stupid?! " " You are stupid...." " But can't you fix it? " I asked tilting my head " and I was to stupid to think of that...." Knuckles said sighing before yanking the chunk of the large emerald away from the hedgehog. " Hey! That's mine! " Lana yelled before knuckles smirked, " I don't see your name on it " before Lana had time to attack knuckles grabbed me and ran off. " W-whoa! " I yelled in surprise, while knuckles chuckled. " Sorry (Y/N) but your not looking when were gonna leave " I blushes bright red before crossing my arms and pouted, knuckles laughs a bit before putting me down " aww...... you gotta admit that's adorable! " Knuckles said before blushing dark red, darker than his fur as a dark red appears on my face. " Uhh......umm.... never mind what I said! " Knuckles studders as he grew a bit angry " uhh.....o-ok " I replied rubbing my arm. after a long period of silence he spoke up " since Lana said the master emerald is broken..." " And she had a huge chunk of it....we should be getting close to getting the rest of the peaces? " I continued as he nodded in response. " And I know where to go next....." He growls * timeskip * We soon stopped in front of a place called club Rouge, as knuckles explained to me about club rouge and Rouge the bat, " Oh hello darling, who's your friend? " A voice called out. I looked up and noticed a female bat that I assume it's rouge, baised on the description knuckles gave me. " Hey....what's that you have up there? " Knuckles asked as he ignores rouge's question to who am i. " Oh, shards, they took to my liking...." Rouge said as she pulled out a few shards that belongs to the master emerald. " Umm.....those belong to the master emerald! " I called out " oh really?....then this was a treasure worth stealing! " " To you, to me, it's a treasure that needs to be back where it belongs! " Rouge then chuckled and looks at the both of us before speaking
